Insider Tips

Located only 90 minutes from Merida. The Kukulcan pyramid is the most famous building in this UNESCO archaeological site, followed by the ball court and the Mayan observatory. Every 21st March and 21st September during the Spring and Fall equinoxes, crowds appear to watch an astronomical phenomenon: at the rising and setting of the sun, the corner of the pyramid casts a shadow in the shape of a plumed serpent onto the north staircase. As the sun moves, the serpent slithers down the northern side of the pyramid.
Once a Spanish general’s stately mansion, this Merida luxury hotel blends colonial elegance with every modern convenience. Relax on our outdoor terrace and enjoy the finest tequila selection in the city. Explore historic Yucatán and the tree-lined splendour of Palacado Monteo, once Mexico’s wealthiest district. This Merida luxury hotel is also well placed to explore the area’s fascinating heritage, including Izamal and the ancient Mayan ruins, one of the seven wonders of the world.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 109 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location - above the hustle I stayed with my family for 3 nights and it was wonderful. Initially, we were given a room that lacked a stocked mini bar and coffee maker. Amenities that are important when with family. After enquiring on these items, we were relocated to the club floor. Room was 2nd floor facing Avenido 60. A wonderful view of Merida's traffic (but relatively quiet) with all amenities included - mini bar, coffee pot, iron, hair dryer, etc. Room was very clean with comfortable beds. Wonderful location in the heart of Merida a few blocks from Paseo Montejo. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Only negative is having a small pool. Would definitely stay again. July 30, 2015
July 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Buen hotel En términos generales mi estancia en este hotel resultó placentera, con excepción de las condiciones generales de la habitación, la pintura y algunas paredes están deterioradas. El bar cierra muy temprano. Fuera de eso, una excelente opción. July 30, 2015
