Featured Philadelphia Hotels

They call Philadelphia “The City of Brotherly Love,” and indeed there is plenty to love in this sizable city. It is the largest city in Pennsylvania and the fifth-largest in the U.S. With good information to plan your visit, Philly is a prime place for lots of unforgettable experiences.

Things to See

While sports are a good reason to visit Philly, the city offers plenty other fantastic things to do. Come hungry; Reading Terminal Market is one of the city's top dining attractions. There you can sample the best of Philly's cuisine, whether you are craving an irresistible sandwich or a undeniably decadent dessert.

American history buffs cherish Philadelphia’s rich heritage, which includes landmarks like Independence National Historical Park and the famous Liberty Bell. Stroll through Independence Hall and be sure to say you visited must-see Valley Forge National Historic Park. The Philadelphia Zoo’s 42 acres serve as home to more than 1,300 animals, and its award-winning exhibits will thrill your entire family. You’ll also want to make time to see Longwood Gardens’ impressive display of horticulture.

Science fanatics should not leave without exploring the Franklin Institute, which hosts a walk-through model of a heart, the Sports Challenge, a Changing Earth display and an IMAX theater.

Hotels in Philadelphia

Philadelphia hotels take in a range of guests; some are ideal for solo business travelers while others cater to families. The city isn't exactly a resort destination so you won't find an overabundance of luxury hotels in the city, however there are still numerous options for high tastes, such as the Crowne Plaza property, or more affordable accommodations at Holiday Inn or the cozy Candlewood Suites.

Where to Stay

Old City is a top choice for vacationers in Philadelphia. This is where you'll find the city's top historic attractions as well as numerous shopping and dining options. Plus, the area is easy to walk so you won't have to worry about finding parking. Nearby Society Hill is another solid option; it is quieter than Old City but still close to the city’s core.

How to Get to Philadelphia

Philadelphia International Airport serves the city and the surrounding Pennsylvania area. If your hotel does not provide a shuttle service from the airport, it's easy to hop on public transportation and get into the main part of the city.

Very nice rooms, sense of security on property. Very friendly front desk personnel [Less]
EXCELLENT
By Agent SP
Overall, I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the rooms. Rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. Pillows are wonderful! Paul at the front desk and the [More] wonderful waitress in the dining room (wish I could remember her name!) were outstanding and made our stay excellent. Because of the proximity to family, comfort and value, I would definitely stay again. I have to add 2 issues that made my stay just less than perfect . . . the dining room food is awful. The staff is exceptional and it is nice and clean, but the food was really poor. I eat almost anything, but left full plates at both breakfasts there. I expect to pay more at hotel restaurants, but I would not eat there again if it was offered for free. Buffet was lacking any sense of quality and menu items were similar. Powdered eggs, cardboard bread choices, watery coffee, etc. The ambience and wonderful waitress made the eating experience the best it could be. Paul at check-in was friendly, accommodating and welcoming. But, the man at check-out was rude and unresponsive to comments I had about missing towels and noise overnight. I travel often for business and leisure and found the hotel overall to be excellent in all other respects. I still feel it is a 10! [Less]
Good value
By MHenzler
Dinner and service in the bar was average at best. Poor beer selection. Room was solid and was a good value for a hotel relatively close to the Philadelphia airport. Wish there was an executive [More] lounge for spire members. [Less]

Great Suite

It's in a quiet area and you will sleep well. The laundry room is free, and the building is clean. Sometimes it really feels like you are the only quest in the whole building [Less]
Better than expected
By Nico2u
I have to admit when I pulled up I thought wow, wished I had stayed closer to DT or KoP but then I walked into the hotel, I was impressed by the general staff and atmosphere. So, I headed up to my [More] room and was surprised at how nice it was and by far it exceeded my expectation. The room was huge with a separate bedroom. It was comfortable and made me feel like I could have stayed longer. Had it not been for a flight I had to be on I would have extended my stay. Clean hotel, nice rooms and even the location was perfect as I was able to easily go to DT and KoP with no issue and probably saved $40 dollars in parking. Highly recommended this hotel. [Less]
Friendly Fresh and great Food
By Spirited35
I enjoyed my stay. Immediately we were upgraded to a suite!!!!! It was large clean and fresh! The food was delicious and it was a good variety. Really nice dining area and spacious. I like that the [More] floor numbers were on the walls when the elevator opened, really large and colorful. Staff was friendly. Bed was comfortable, however I usually don't sleep well. Also I enjoyed the fitness center. It was nice and well equipped. You will enjoy your stay!!!! [Less]
Excellent stay
By cherok29
We arrived a few hours before check in because we wanted to explore the city. While our room was not ready yet, we were allowed to park on property so we could catch the train (a short 5 min walk). [More] Upon returning to the hotel, we had been upgraded to a suite which was very clean and beds were comfortable. This is the best hotel my family and I have ever stayed at and I have zero complaints! Can't wait to return! [Less]
