The hotel was clean and quiet and the staff was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast at the restaurant upstairs was terrific. May 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing Beach weekend Stayed at Holiday Inn Lido Key the last weekend of April. As others have noted there is some construction going on during the day. But the construction did not start too early or last too late while I was there. Paul at the front desk is especially warm and professional and made us feel very welcome. The room I had must have been recently refinished since it looked so fresh and modern. My room with 2 queen beds was a bit crowded, but the sleeping was good with all the bed space. Even the towels had to be new considering the lint coming off of them when you dried. The room to include the bathroom were spotless. The breakfast buffet in the morning is much like the breakfast served at most Holiday Inn Express locations with the exception of the omelet station, so $12.95 would have been a bit high. The server, Lisa, was quite friendly and made good suggestions for the omelets. The beach is naturally wonderful, that was why we chose this location, but being able to walk to St. Armand's circle is an even better thing since the parking there is not easy to find. I really look forward to my next visit to this location. May 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Terrific location, excellent service, wonderful destination! The Holiday Inn on Lido Beach is the most attractive Holiday Inn that I have ever stayed in anywhere. The location on the beach is unbeatable. The hotel staff gave friendly, professional, and excellent service. The view from the penthouse restaurant is spectacular even if the food is simply regular. We love this place and will continue to return for its simple and reliable pleasures. May 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bill From Michigan The hotel was perfect for view (especially from the balcony) and location to both Lido Beach And Saint Armands Circle. I would stay here again. I would like to however, comment on two items. One, there was renovation going on that was noted on the web site when I booked. However, the workman doing the renovation on Saturady on top of the portico was being done by two workman for about 1-2 hours and they were sawing wood and other material. They could have done that on the ground behind the building vs right on the ocean front by the room balconies. This was right below balcony rooms. I would think that you would manage your vendors on site for your guests. Secondly, there was an emergency evacuation for the entire hotel at approximately 4am due hydraulic liquid smoke from the elevators (I believe that was the case). We left to get coffee downtown and came back at a later time. I would have thought that there would have been both an apology and discount offered. Best, Bill May 1, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Average experience in an average hotel Great location, but quality of experience did not match the price tag. The lounge area does not encourage socializing downstairs and the bartender was friendly, but not especially great at her craft. Due to the layout of the hotel, it is a shame that the location cannot be better exploited, which is what you are paying for. Half of the hotel has ocean views, but the other half has parking lot views. We had to wait long periods for the bartender to notice we were at the pool bar while she was inside the connecting lobby bar, since she could not easily see us. Got woken up and evacuated for a fire alarm at 5 am the morning of a wedding. NOT good. April 26, 2016
