I just completed a three night stay at this property, which was my first time there. Other than the WiFi service, I have no complaints about the property or my stay. As a Priority Club Platinum
member (sorry...I just haven't gotten used to "Spire Elite" yet), I was upgraded to a suite, which was a spacious room. All interactions I had with the staff were pleasant, and the breakfast offerings were typical of a Holiday Inn Express. Although I did not take part in any of them, they now offer a Manager's Reception during the week, with free beer and snacks.
The WiFi though...what a horrible experience. The first two nights I was there, the WiFi was so bad I ended up using my phone's cell signal as a hotspot just to get on the internet. My final night, the internet worked fine for an hour or so and then just stopped. At that point, I just went to sleep.
All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would stay at this hotel again when I return to the area. However, if the WiFi remains as bad, my next stay will be my last.
For me, this hotel was in a excellent location, as it was very close to my company's office, however, it is in a suburban location. It is about 30 minutes south of the KC airport and about 20-25 minutes away from downtown KC. If you need to be close to those locations, you may want to consider other IHG properties. [Less]
