Good location, staff needs better training.

Nice hotel with easy access to the tube via Blackfriers its across the street. Check was great and was able to check in early. I was unaware the tube station was going to be closed on Saturday and Sunday(Blackfriers). We asked the concierge the best way to get to Wemblyy Stadium for the football game and they had no idea how to get use there. We went to our room and found an alternative route quickly, via Google. Check out was frustrating as the front desk only had one computer and one member on staff. The staff did ask call for help but no other CPU was on so they had to start the CPU and log on etc, I was told 5-10 minutes before they would be ready. I asked to send the final to me via email or post. I wish the staff had more intimate knowledge of the area and were better prepared but it is a nice place to stay.

Great hotel, brilliant deluxe room. Rose petals on bed on arrival and a chocolate torte which was a really nice touch. Staff very friendly. Would stay again if price was right

Great location

27 October 2014

The hotel is in a great location for exploring the sights of London and the room met our requirements. The staff were friendly and helpful. The gym was well equipped and as a nice touch maps were available outlining running routes along the Thames embankment. The only disappoint was that on two occasions during our stay, although we had been out all day we returned late afternoon to find our room had not been made up. Towels had not been replaced, cups not cleaned, bin not emptied, tea/coffee provisions had not been restocked. If these basic aspects had been taken care of as you would generally expect in a hotel of such standing then I would have given room cleanliness and room comfort 4 stars.
