stayed two nights at weekend. easy to find. free parking. family room was a good size, modern, with plenty of storage space for clothes etc. mattress was very uncomfortable and didn't get a good nights sleep on the first night. the sofabed my daughter had was also extremely uncomfortable and we had to put blankets under the bottom sheet to try and soften it and stop the springs coming through.
breakfast was good and fresh with plenty of choice. didnt eat at night as never do in these places as its better and cheaper elsewhere. plenty of well known chains nearby. didnt use wifi as it kept trying to charge us even though its supposed to be free. the small tv was disappointing and couldnt use freeview guide as the tv clock said it was 6pm in May 2014 when in fact it was 9pm in august. overall i wouldnt stay here again. we only did as the other holiday Inn in Aylesbury was full.

Das Hotel ist komfortabel leider ist der Außenbereich ein wenig einfach. Das Frühstück war etwas einfach, bei dem Preis hätte es etwas mehr sein dürfen.

On arrival waited 10 minutes to be attended to-only one member of staff on duty who was dealing with a telephone booking but there was no acknowledgement of our presence whilst waiting.
Breakfast quality good but overpriced.

On the whole the hotel was good. The full English breakfast was very good. However the prices of the meals in the restaurant at night were exorbitant. We went out and ate elsewhere for half the cost.

This hotel clearly should not be a part of a major chain! It is sub-standard to any Holiday Inn I've ever stayed in. Whatever you do, don't book this property!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ypsilon1 Good value hotel
Despite the hotel looking a little tired from the outside and the room decor being a little dated, the hotel room itself was clean and well presented. Friendly and helpful staff - good value for money. Happy to use this hotel again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 A practical venue for an overnight stay
This hotel is on the edge of Aylesbury but is in a pleasant semi-rural setting with two attractive lakes close by.
Our twin-bedded room was of a generous size, though one of the over-bed lights did not function. The breakfast room is rather utilitarian but the food was well-prepared and the service was efficient.
There was a calm ambience whilst we were there and we had an undisturbed night.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sharon swansea A bit tired but ideal for families and def recommend
The hotel itself is a little tired and dated - some might say a bit shabby. And some of the towels could have been cleaner :(
And yes the free wifi is beyond slow.
BUT........ the staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. At Reception and in the restaurant.
The rooms are extremely spacious - and ideal for families (we had an 18 month old in a travel cot). A tip - if you want rooms next to or near to each other, request at booking and follow up immediately to try to secure this.
Lots of parking outside and easy to find.
Breakfast was fast, delicious and plentiful - really good quality.
Good price, especially for the area.
It might not be the 'posh' swanky choice (but then, neither is the price tag!!) but it was very suitable for us and the pros definitely outweighed the cons and we would definitely stay there again and certainly recommend it!
