This will be a good place to stay when all the building work is complete. The hotel will be very smart and is very close to a Metro station which is very easy to use and which can take you into the city centre in 10 minutes!
However the buliding work is very disruptive and the chaos was compounded by no less than 3 coaches parked in the car park. I have commented on HI coach party policy before; I understand that you have a business to run but to push to the limit like this only serves to alienate your regular customers.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Downunderdad Comfortable bed and"different" bathroom!
Situated a little out of town but easy connection to the underground for visits to the centre and Guggenheim Museum.
Much building work going on around the hotel with only one lift working and a mess outside. Interiors were bright and open with modern furnishings. Surprised to meet a group of American road cyclists with their bikes on the room corridors! However this was no problem as the hotel is big enough to take this in its stride.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Roger37 Not a hotel I would recommend to anyone.
I have stayed regularly at Holiday Inn's in recent years and this was by far the worst. Amongst other things:-
1 Bed linen not changed during our 6 night stay.
2 Towels only changed once in 6 days.
3 Twice we returned to our room after 4pm to find it had not been cleaned.
4 Restaurant facilities poor and size inadequate ( there were at least 3 groups staying at hotel who seemed to be given priority over everyone else).
5 Staffing levels were poor except on reception where there always appeared to be more staff than needed.
6 Building works outside of hotel and on the side of the hotel where our room was situated. Why were we not told about these works when we arrived or at least given a room away from the building work.
7 Also workmen inside hotel. Work being undertaken inside hotel again no reference to this when we arrived.
8 Not recognised as Priority Club members.
In conclusion a hotel that should be avoided.

Hotel was too noisy , room temperature was uncomfortable (too hot) and restaurant menu was very limited. However the service (staffs) was good.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Yevheniy Very good and convenient
Close to metro station, it gives good access to everywhere in the area. Abando is 2 stations away, Casco Viejo is just within one stop.I loved the room layout (typical for Spain), loved the reception staff service, beautiful window views. It's just 10 minutes from the airport, and taxi fare is very moderate (19 Euro). Overall very good. One minus is Internet connection: poor signal and slow traffic.

we ordered a suite where unfortunately no bath was available , although the normal rooms had a both. This looks contradiuc to me , booking a more expensive rooms but getting a lower quality of the bathroom
Due to a lot of works at the hotel there was no normal dining room and no bar, this devaluated the hotel level very much
also ; altough especially mentioned in the directory book of the hotel and also mentioned in the elevator , there was NO ROOM Service at all . As diner was only available at 20.30 H, there was no possebility to eat something before that time
This was very disappointing and brought the standard level of the hotel , wit hthe missing bath tube , down to a lower level

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bethlehem Best bed ever
What I did like the most, how confortable was the bed (because I never find them confortable in any hotel). The bathroom was kind of weird if you are not a couple, but my only complain was that the bathtube wasn't very deep. The hotel was in construction but it dodn't affect my stay, and the staff was most hepfull and kind. The breakfast buffet was not bad, but I missed more cocked food.

The hotel is on a very busy road and is very noisy if you happen to have a room on the front of the hotel. Although there are drinks in the room (tea/coffee) they were not very nice and there was not fresh or UHT milk only powdered. The beds very quite hard although the pillows were nice. We ate in the restaurant where the service was non-existant. Our waiter failed to smile or check to see if our meals were alright and when I complained about my steak being cold it was warmed in the microwave!! The fee we paid did not include breakfast and we thought this was expensive. We also had to pay for car parking even though we were guests of the hotel. Come on Holiday Inn you can do better than this surely!!! I think I would have rather have slept in the car.
