Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by WEEKLY BUSINESS TRIP I stayed here for the first time on November 13-14th. I travel to the area on a weekly basis and I normally stay at Holiday Inn express in Harlingen. I decided to stay in Brownsville since ost my work was in the area on this trip. Upon checking in the front desk cleark was rude and very short. I was not noticed as a Platinum member, which really isn't a big deal but it is their job to be curtious to the guest. I was not directed in which way my room was, nor asked if there was anything I needed. Once in my room I descovered that the room was dirty and needed a lot of maintance. The carpet was dirty, the bathroom had hair in the tub, and the towel bar was falling off the wall. The towels felt like I was using sandpaper to dry off with. I can say I won't be staying at this location again. November 23, 2014

I was suggested good restaurants as well by front desk staff. Overall I was happy with clean rooms and friendly staff. November 21, 2014

Personal en general atento, sólo que en la mañana no estaba al pendiente la chica de recepción yo y otros clientes la anduvimos buscando y llamando, deben revisar ese detalle. En general todo bien! For the price and no complimentary breakfast there are better hotels to stay at for the cost. the expressway is really close so try and get a room near the rear or opposite side of the expressway.
