Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tired hotel but good staff The hotel is well situated with ample parking, a nice pool and very helpful staff. However, it has a pervading and unpleasant, "musty" smell throughout the common areas and (my) guest room. My sleep was disturbed from 3.30 to 4.30 a.m. by the husband in the room opposite being apparently locked-out by his wife, who had applied the door's safety catch to keep him out. He knocked loudly and shouted intermittently for about an hour - but was apparently not heard by the hotel's Night Security, although this was a Ground Floor room. Take care if booking a Breakfast-inclusive room-rate because I found that this did not include orange-juice, for which I was charged extra - after ordering. November 24, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by WEEKLY BUSINESS TRIP I stayed here for the first time on November 13-14th. I travel to the area on a weekly basis and I normally stay at Holiday Inn express in Harlingen. I decided to stay in Brownsville since ost my work was in the area on this trip. Upon checking in the front desk cleark was rude and very short. I was not noticed as a Platinum member, which really isn't a big deal but it is their job to be curtious to the guest. I was not directed in which way my room was, nor asked if there was anything I needed. Once in my room I descovered that the room was dirty and needed a lot of maintance. The carpet was dirty, the bathroom had hair in the tub, and the towel bar was falling off the wall. The towels felt like I was using sandpaper to dry off with. I can say I won't be staying at this location again. November 23, 2014

I was suggested good restaurants as well by front desk staff. Overall I was happy with clean rooms and friendly staff. November 21, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Valor La habitación estuvo bien, algunos problemas con la llave de la regadera pues no dejaba pasarla de la llave al modo ducha. Personal en general atento, sólo que en la mañana no estaba al pendiente la chica de recepción yo y otros clientes la anduvimos buscando y llamando, deben revisar ese detalle. En general todo bien!
