Hopefully the rooms are next. Nice stay. The construction distracted from the natural beauty of the hotel and it's settings.

You can refer to my prior comments. This was a very unenjoyably stay. No amenities were available at the hotel. No casual bar, no restaurant, no pool, a very unpleasant smelling room, and overall noisy facility. When I arrived I found the hotel was under construction. Was never mentioned when I made my reservation, felt deceived over this. In addition I am then told that is no longer going to be a Holiday Inn property once new facility opens in the near term. This property was in no way similar to what is customarily expected at a full service Holiday Inn. Very disappointing. I will not be back.

Hotel should be shutdown for construction. Noisy, no services, rooms smell, and no compensation for lack of a quailty stay.

Pros - you cannot hear the freeway noise unlike at the Holiday Inn Express
Cons - a broken bed, electrical outlet that dies when you turn out the bathroom lights, most A/C blowers rattle, Teddy's Flame Room is a lounge known for meeting hookers, really cheap complimentary booze (not sure why they bother), bathtub faucet would not turn off, current remodeling effort is cosmetic and not directed at the rooms. Electrical outlets for charging are scarce.
I come back here so I can sleep (See Pros). Now gut the rooms and get them out of the seventies!

Had a miserable time here, would recommend staying elsewhere! The rooms were dark, I found a nasty hair clump in my pillows as I was sleeping, and it had an overall feel of a dingy motel. Not something I expected from a Holiday Inn! Because of all the problems, I had a horrible sleep as well.
I was originally supposed to stay for three nights, but after the first night I ended up checking out and staying elsewhere.

The Holiday Inn in El Paso, TX is fine for business travel in most respects. The only major disappointment is the tiny pool. It was under construction like most of the hotel but the plans don't call for expanding it. Not sure why this isn't being considered because Holiday Inn has the opportunity now to correct this flaw.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Colorado Jim Great value
For what I paid I found this to be a great value. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous and professional. The bathroom was well stocked and well lit. I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay (several days), but for an overnight stay on the way through town it was a great fit. The lobby and some other common areas were undergoing a remodel, so it's hard to evaluate it from that standpoint, but I expect it will look nice when completed.
