Pros - you cannot hear the freeway noise unlike at the Holiday Inn Express
Cons - a broken bed, electrical outlet that dies when you turn out the bathroom lights, most A/C blowers rattle, Teddy's Flame Room is a lounge known for meeting hookers, really cheap complimentary booze (not sure why they bother), bathtub faucet would not turn off, current remodeling effort is cosmetic and not directed at the rooms. Electrical outlets for charging are scarce.
I come back here so I can sleep (See Pros). Now gut the rooms and get them out of the seventies!

Had a miserable time here, would recommend staying elsewhere! The rooms were dark, I found a nasty hair clump in my pillows as I was sleeping, and it had an overall feel of a dingy motel. Not something I expected from a Holiday Inn! Because of all the problems, I had a horrible sleep as well.
I was originally supposed to stay for three nights, but after the first night I ended up checking out and staying elsewhere.

The Holiday Inn in El Paso, TX is fine for business travel in most respects. The only major disappointment is the tiny pool. It was under construction like most of the hotel but the plans don't call for expanding it. Not sure why this isn't being considered because Holiday Inn has the opportunity now to correct this flaw.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Colorado Jim Great value
For what I paid I found this to be a great value. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous and professional. The bathroom was well stocked and well lit. I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay (several days), but for an overnight stay on the way through town it was a great fit. The lobby and some other common areas were undergoing a remodel, so it's hard to evaluate it from that standpoint, but I expect it will look nice when completed.

Bed and pillows seemed real old. Should be a hotel discount for it seemed like an old hotel. Breakfast much better at an express. Food was not good and was cold.

The lobby and general areas look pleasant enough, however the finishes of the room and restroom appear as if Holiday Inn hired their remodeling crew out of the Home Depot parking lot. Bottom line I stayed their for a business trip, had I been there on a leisure trip with my wife we would've found other accommodations.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mb1935 Don't stay till renovation complete
This hotel is COMPLETELY torn up. This is in no way indicated on the web when you make a res thru IHG. There is heavy equipment in the lobby, the pool area is an excavation site, there is plastic wrap all over the staIrs and trash in the hallways. It's like sleeping in a construction zone, but the rates are the same as if it is completely functional. We stayed at this property before the renovation and I would call it middle of the road for Holiday, but now it really should be closed until they finish the renovation.
