I stay at this holiday inn when I travel to EP. The staff is always friendly and service great! There currently renovating the hotel and should have that much needed face lift once complete. Hopefully they'll upgrade the inside of the rooms too. Good, safe place to stay while in El Paso.

Was not told under construction, prior to arriving. AC very loud, barking dogs in rooms, shower problems.

Just a dirty and old hotel.
Renovations will make it better. I definitely overpaid for this stay.

My first time at this hotel. I needed a dog friendly hotel near I10 on my way from CA to GA. This is obviously an older Holiday Inn, but the room was updated and appeared to be brand new. My room, 209, was immaculate and the bed was very, very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, and the articulating shower head on an adjustable arm was an awesome touch. The lobby and other common areas were clean and functional, and there were some ongoing hotel renovations when I was there. No complaints. I ate supper at the lobby bar from the Mexican restaurant on the other side of the lobby...the meal was good, priced fairly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient at check in. Same at check out...no effort needed from me at either end. The outside of the hotel, and it's property are not pleasant at all. It is all asphalt, but my dog didn't mind...we just walked along an adjoining roadway and found some grass for him to relieve himself. The busy I10 freeway was about 100 feet from my second floor window, but I heard NOTHING from it!! This hotel is about 200 feet from entry and exits from I10. A Starbucks is in the adjacent parking lot...very convenient. The exterior is nothing to look at, but this area of El Paso is not a destination area....it is all industrial, strip malls, hotels, freeway and views of Juarez....not a resort. But I was looking for a good hotel and a better price that was dog friendly, and this Holiday Inn is exactly that.... clean, functional, comfortable, inexpensive, dog friendly, staffed with good folks, convenient to I10. Everything I needed was there, even nighttime security guard patrolling the parking lot! If need be, I will definitely stay here again.

This is an old, outdated, dank, depressing and dismal hotel. It seems to be undergoing a remodel, but I didn't see much going on while I was there. I stay at Holiday Inn Expresses all the time for work, and find them to be clean, modern, and comfortable. This hotel was the polar opposite. My room had no windows to the outside - only a window looking out into the hallway. Obviously, I had to keep that curtain closed. DARK, DARK, DARK room. I was traveling alone, but if my husband had been along, he would have had to duck to avoid hitting his head on the bathroom ceiling - it's that low (plus it has 2 light fixtures that are suspended from it and are a hazard to tall people). The lighting in the bathroom was horrible, the furniture was old and outdated, and I felt depressed being there. I could not have done more than one night. The window in the hallway looked out onto the pool area, which is under demolition (looks like it was dug up a while ago and has just been sitting there). I am amazed that this hotel has the nerve to charge the prices they do - honestly, they should close the hotel to guests and remodel, or just demolish the whole thing. The location is very convenient to the airport, but there are other choices. ANY other hotel would most likely be an improvement.

The access was less than adequate. I had to utilize my cell data service to acomplish my work.

My stay here was below average. There did not appear to be enough employees for the services. Employees were trained but were not excited in providing good customer service.

I booked a concierge room, but when I arrived, no concierge room available due to remodel. Was given a one room "suite". All week long they had Jackhammers outside my window facing pool.
This is an older hotel trying to improve itself, but not succeeding. The AC is noisy and bathroom dated. For instance all the sealant around the tub was peeling off.
