Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Class at a fair price! Excellent place to stay. Touch of the grand at a price the normal person can afford. Good staff, clean, clean, and clean. November 3, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nonsmokers should avoid the 5th floor! When I first walked into Room 505 the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. An associate of mine had made the reservation, so I assumed he had forgotten to request a non-smoking room. I was only staying the night so I decided I'd make the best of it since I thought it was our mistake. By midnight I had a terrible headache from the smell, so I opened the windows and took a motrin to try and get some sleep. As I was checking out the next morning I asked the desk clerk if it was indeed a smoking room and she informed me that no, the whole hotel is non-smoking. I went back and read reviews and saw where others had mentioned to avoid the fifth floor because of the cigarette smell. I have to agree. All other aspects of the stay were excellent. All of the staff were very pleasant and professional. October 30, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Tacky and out of date decor / uncomfortable sleep Very disappointed in this hotel, especially considering it's a "Suites" model and also in comparison to the HI Expresses and Suites I'm used to. Independently owned/operated..and it's obvious the owners are doing things on the cheap and tacky. In the lobby, the over-sized half-naked women in togas statues all around the room were just weird. The weird fountain that held no water and the fake plants all over the ceiling...tacky. It felt like "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" blew up in there. Though nothing was broken beyond use or 100% nasty, it felt like a used up old hotel that got some fresh paint and the Holiday Inn label and was good to go. The hallway was kinda creepy and considering they couldn't have been 100% booked, why did they put me in the room right next to the elevator and ice machine?? In the TINY cramped room (how is this a "suites"??), the desk lamp shade was old and cracked and mismatched from the bedside (unplugged) lamp. The cramped cheap furniture was kinda beat up. The drapes were dirty. The walls seemed freshly painted and the carpet seemed newish. The wall art was from the 80's it seemed. The shower curtain barely stayed in the tub, it was so short or hung too high or something. The coffee pot was the tiniest I've ever laid eyes on. The pillows were amazing but the mattresses very uncomfortable and cheap. My family all woke up with back aches and my niece said she missed her hard uncomfortable dorm bed after waking up in this hotel :/ Positives: Besides the amazing pillows, the staff was super fast to bring us more towels and the front desk lady was very nice. Everything else about this hotel...eh. I won't be back. October 29, 2014
