Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place to stay but avoid the restaurant This is a decent hotel to spend the night but I would highly recommend avoiding the restaurant. Two colleagues and I sat at the bar for a couple drinks and dinner. I ordered the crawfish appetizer and about 5 minutes later the bartender told me they were out of crawfish. I asked what he recommended regarding an entrée and he suggested the BLT melt. Fortunately, I opted for the cheeseburger. My colleague however did order the BLT melt and when it arrived, I was so thankful I didn't order it. I would have been embarrassed to serve that sandwich to a close family member. I'm pretty sure a "melt' means it will be warm and cheese slightly melted and I received better bacon on my breakfast sandwich the following morning from a fast food chain. It appeared that the cheese slice was just pulled from the fridge. We asked the bartender for some napkins and silverware and he promptly handed us some cocktail napkins from the bar and then offered some paper towels as an alternative. Fortunately we turned around to find some silverware wrapped in cloth napkins on some table so we used those. Overall, this was a very bad experience and I would strongly recommend avoiding this venue unless you simply want a cold drink. February 22, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hattiesburg I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have always enjoyed it, however this last visit was very disappointing. The room and hotel smelled musty. The front desk staff was inattentive and I the waitstaff complaining about having to set up the meeting room we had reserved. This was a very disappointing stay. February 21, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Front Desk Service I chose this hotel because my daughter's softball team was staying there. When the coach called to check on rooms, she confirmed that there was 2 extra rooms for the families traveling with the team. I called immediately and made my reservations. Issue 1 - When we arrived to check in (930pm) we were told we did not have a room, a large party extended their stay and we would have to move to a hotel next door. The front desk clerk was very nice. I asked for a manager. The manager said he was not dressed to come to the front - he had on a tshirt and shorts. He stated a large group had checked out then returned and needed the rooms. 2 different stories had now been told. Issue 2 - my AAA rate was less than the "group rate" quoted to the coach. I asked if the team could have my rate. The manager rudely stated the team could not have 2 discounts. I asked how can my rate for 1 room be LESS than a rate for 7 rooms? "Fine just give it to them!" We were not the only people being turned away who had reservations. I waited in the lobby for the softball team so I could see my daughter. While waiting the clerk came to me and said a room had been found. On the hall where my room was there was cleaning staff that had just finished cleaning room. I would have rather have been told, that there had been a mix up and ask me to wait til room was clean than tell me there were no rooms and try to send me somewhere else. The ONLY reason I was staying at this property was to stay where my daughter was. In the past, when one of your properties moved me to a different hotel there was no charge to me. At checkout the manager was overly nice. I understand things happen but there is a professional way to approach it. I would have rather been told the truth, went and got food and returned when room was ready. My issue was with the unprofessional manager NOT the front desk clerk. The manager should have been the person turning away customers who had made reservations, not a clerk with no authority, February 19, 2015
