Overall a comfortable stay with room for improvements.
-Thank you for the room upgrade. It was spacious, comfortable and quiet, despite being on the ground level and facing the driveway.
-Check-in process was fast and efficient.
-I made my room reservation a month before my arrival but was asked on the day of arrival if I would like to stay at another hotel as the hotel was overbooked. You are practically sending me to your competitor. Does a regular guest not matter to you?
-Although staff are friendly, more care can be shown to the guests. The standard Welcome message was delivered and expected but did seemed lacked of genuineness.
-Request for a late check-out was accommodated but the message was not passed on the rest of the team. More often than not, I will receive a call from Front Desk asking what time I would be checking out. It occurred again for this stay.
-I found a small dead cockroach on my bed after the first night. I called '0' to request for Make Up Room and to a change of bed linen. Also added that they should check the bed area.
-There was no apology or a show of concern from the person who answered my call. I may not be afraid of creepy crawlies but I do think that the lapse of hygiene and cleanliness is unacceptable, not even from a 3 star hotel, let alone an international chain.
When I returned to my room that day, the bedsheet did looked like it was changed but pillow cases were not.
I was attended by Suriyani upon check-out. and when she enquired about how I would rate my stay, I told her about the cockroach incident. She not only apologised but also showed care and concern. She offered to make it up to me by offering dinner for 2 on my next visit. I would like to commend you for empowering your staff and Suriyani for taking the initiative. Sometimes hardware is not so important but the personal touches are.

This is my first time staying in this hotel through reservation IHG and instantly like the hotel location and setup when I arrive at the lobby. Unfortunately I wasn't being attended by anyone when arrive or any greeting until I need to approach someone at the front desk and greet them ahead even though there is no other guests around. Really believe the experience can be better can come from IHG. I am not a fussy person because I stay in a lot of different hotels and this is the first time I am writing review because I believe I can make a different by pointing out. Taxi reserved through the front desk one night ahead but following morning turn out that there was no taxi available caused my meeting delayed for one hour.
Location is away from the busy area and I truly can rest and relax nicely. Facing the gold course view is a luxury. Room cleanliness is top class.

I spent two weeks at the Holiday Inn Glenmarie and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were attentive to all of my needs while I recovered from a medical procedure. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff at Kites worked hard to ensure my specific needs were met. The reception and concierge staff were always helpful and our room was a very comfortable suite in the Garden wing. The Glen Lounge was always a comfortable and I enjoyed soaking up the quiet atmosphere there with a cool drink as an evening thunderstorm rolls in.
