Upon making reservation I thought the room was a bit pricey, but I was making the reservation based on proximity to airport and shuttle service. As it turned out the exceptional service extended made my stay most relaxing under the circumstances - I was taking care of burial matters for mom. Navigating about Newark for an out-of-towner can be a challenge and I was most appreciative of the shuttle service back to the hotel after I dropped off my rental vehicle a day early as I had taken care of everything in a timely fashion, allowing me the luxury of just catching the shuttle back to the airport early the following morning. My guest room was spacious, well appointed with electrical outlets, and very comfortable. The front desk staff was a delight to interact with. Check-in and check-out expeditious. The hotel is close to the airport, in a commercial environment, but provides a bit of an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the metropolitan setting. September 25, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Late Check Out Facility On very late check-in I requested late check-out. There was no recognition of my Gold Status. I was told I would have to ask for late checkout in the morning. I set my alarm for 7am and called reception. I was told I would have to ask at 9am. I set my alarm again and called reception at 9am. I was granted late check-out to 2pm. Between 9am and 11am Housekeeping knocked on the door and disturbed me twice. I therefore left the hotel before noon. I would suggest that the staff should have told me to request late check out at 9am in the first place and that housekeeping are aware of late checkouts so that your guests can relax. I admit that I later discovered the Do Not Disturb sign was a small credit-card like paper which was not evident to me until I was leaving the room. I also suggest that you make it clearer what this is, I stay at hotels all the time and have never seen a similar device. September 19, 2014
