Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Could be better! The hotel itself is a reasonable standard 3 star with modern and mostly clean decor. Great location for Crewe Railway station, just a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was average and staff less so. A number of small things improved could make this a so much better experience. November 18, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Will not be going back On arrival I was given a room with no power and told that the maintenance person was not around because he was 'very poorly'. I was offered additional points and moved to another room that had seemingly plastic pillow protectors on three of the four pillows, no kettle and a cold towel rail. If I had not arrived as late as I did from London then I would have found alternative accommodation. Decided to buy a colleague a beer at the bar and the response I got when I challenged the amount of froth was dismissive and 'it's been playing up'. At breakfast witnessed a member of staff chopping up the scrambled egg, adding water to it and rinsing the serving spoon that had been dropped on the floor at the bar rather than collecting a fresh one from the kitchen. This on top of there being a lot of cutlery that had not been cleaned properly by the dishwasher. Certainly not the standard I have been used too from Holiday Inn Express hotels. November 15, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor service at holiday inn crewe I regularly stay at Holiday inns and usually find it quite a pleasure staying at them. Holiday inn at crewe was a totally different experience. On a arrival there was no one at reception and after 10 mins of waiting I decided to walk into the restaurant area to ask for someone to check me inn. The shift manager then arrived, I didnt find her very polite, there was no apology for the delay in keeping me waiting. Once I was in my room I found the heating in the room was not working, I tried calling reception several times but no reply so ended up going downstairs myself. Again there was no one at reception. I went to the bar to order and they had virtually nothing in stock. Every item I selected off the menu was virtually finished. Very poor service at this holiday inn I would avoid it at all costs.
