The hotel is relatively new and clean. During my stay, there were two construction workers in the lobby cleaning the windows, and it did not look well. The service at the front desk was not good at all.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kapryss Good Value
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality per price at this facility. There are more expensive hotels in Cuiaba for sure, but this one is great for its price.
There are a few norms in hotels in Brazil as compared to those in the US: you won't find wash cloths in any bathroom, steam cleaned carpets (or at least stain free fibers) are outside the norm even in the nicest hotels, furnishings are not over-plush or over-large--for example my executive room was very large, to the extent that that normal furnishings seems overwhelmed, AC systems are on demand and generally less adequate than required to actually climate control the room within a few hours. As long as you remember that there are some different norms, you can be quite comfortable. I've found that the price of hotel rooms in Brazil from city to city isn't a barometer for the quality of the room after a certain price point.

After traveling around Mato Grosso for 2 weeks coming back to this Holiday Inn Express was like paradise.
Nice to have decent internet, excellent staff and good quality food.
Wish all hotels in Brazil and the United States were like this.

Accommodation is the best. Two very good couple beds in the "single" room. Good location, in a beautiful place with great views of Cuiabá. From dining in restaurants to go on foot. Quiet hotel, new and clean. Only the breakfast is very simple for the standard of the hotel. Free transport to shopping center.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Felt like in heaven
I and three co-workers from Sesc actually were staying in another hotel of Cuiabá, that was not good at all. Breakfast was good, but all the other things made us feel unconfortable.
Luckily we passed by Holiday Inn Express, going to work, I made a call to check availabilily, a gentleman named Will was very receptive and kind, and on the same day we moved to heave. Yes, it felt like arriving in heaven. Besides Will, from reservations office, Magda, the lady that checked us in was so kind to us, that made us forget the previous bad experience.
We spent the days hoping for the time to go back "home".
It was one of my best stays ever, around Brazil

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by asdfgqwerty Staff not able to issue an invoice correctly
Very badly treated by the staff. After receiving an invoice with a mistake I had to make already six long distance calls and the problem is still not solved!!
They don't actually care about guests!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Titus86 Good the second time around, better the first
My girlfriend and I stayed here when we booked a trip to the Pantanal.
Since our flight got in late and left early we decided to book a night here before and after our trip.
We stayed on the 6th floor and they acknowledged my membership level in Priority Club Rewards.
Keep in mind not everyone speaks English or Spanish in addition to Portugese but the staff at the front desk did their best to suit our needs.
Since they didn't have a restaurant they suggested a few menus of places that would deliver.
Although it took a while for the delivery to get to the hotel the part played by the hotel couldn't have been better.
When I came down to ask what was taking so long the front desk was able to call and see what was the matter.
Room and bathroom were clean.
Only problem with the room the second time around was the sound of the elevator counter weights above our heads.
While people were still using the elevator before 11pm it sounded like a team of football players were using the hallway above us for practice.
Breakfast was good while we waited for our tour guides to pick us up and take us to the Pantanal, our last day we got up at around 1am to catch our flight back to Belo Horizonte, no time for breakfast.
They were also able to make sure they had a cab for us for the early morning flight, but I definitely recommend asking the night before.
Keep in mind while this was kind of far from the Cuiaba airport but I believe it was worth the cab fare.
