Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Felt like in heaven
I and three co-workers from Sesc actually were staying in another hotel of Cuiabá, that was not good at all. Breakfast was good, but all the other things made us feel unconfortable.
Luckily we passed by Holiday Inn Express, going to work, I made a call to check availabilily, a gentleman named Will was very receptive and kind, and on the same day we moved to heave. Yes, it felt like arriving in heaven. Besides Will, from reservations office, Magda, the lady that checked us in was so kind to us, that made us forget the previous bad experience.
We spent the days hoping for the time to go back "home".
It was one of my best stays ever, around Brazil

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by asdfgqwerty Staff not able to issue an invoice correctly
Very badly treated by the staff. After receiving an invoice with a mistake I had to make already six long distance calls and the problem is still not solved!!
They don't actually care about guests!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Titus86 Good the second time around, better the first
My girlfriend and I stayed here when we booked a trip to the Pantanal.
Since our flight got in late and left early we decided to book a night here before and after our trip.
We stayed on the 6th floor and they acknowledged my membership level in Priority Club Rewards.
Keep in mind not everyone speaks English or Spanish in addition to Portugese but the staff at the front desk did their best to suit our needs.
Since they didn't have a restaurant they suggested a few menus of places that would deliver.
Although it took a while for the delivery to get to the hotel the part played by the hotel couldn't have been better.
When I came down to ask what was taking so long the front desk was able to call and see what was the matter.
Room and bathroom were clean.
Only problem with the room the second time around was the sound of the elevator counter weights above our heads.
While people were still using the elevator before 11pm it sounded like a team of football players were using the hallway above us for practice.
Breakfast was good while we waited for our tour guides to pick us up and take us to the Pantanal, our last day we got up at around 1am to catch our flight back to Belo Horizonte, no time for breakfast.
They were also able to make sure they had a cab for us for the early morning flight, but I definitely recommend asking the night before.
Keep in mind while this was kind of far from the Cuiaba airport but I believe it was worth the cab fare.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by TwoBeers Service fails on check-out
This is my general complaint in Brazil, that no hotel seems to be able to provide the customer with an official receipt after check-out. The general argument is that, since this is as electronic document, the hotel depends of the local government. Although this might be possible I still see the hotel as responsible for the emission of such a document. It is a problem for me to do the rendering of accounts with my company.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by MHeroux4981 Too Many Problems and Hidden Costs do not stay here
I stayed one night at this hotel after a very loong 18 hour trip from the Miami. The hotel is not near the airport and is in the middle of the city. After a long and dangerous cab ride from a very sketchy driver I arrived only to find out that the hotel would not exchange any money (Dollars for Reais) and having no Brazilian money yet I had to negotiate with the driver at 02:00 AM.
I only then discovered that the hotel does have two shuttle buses for transport to the airport but they are not for guests only for airlnie crews. I was shocked when I heard this. My roundtrip ca ride to and from the air port cost me another $50 when there was a half empty bus sitting right there. I found this outrageous and more than a little rude.
I again inquired about changing money since I had no Reais the guy at the desk suggested I call a local man to make a special deal and exchange some money. I have scene these deals before and have found that you are always the one to get cheated and here the hotel imployee was suggesting the same thing.
Well this was not service or an experience I expected from a Holiday Inn Express hotel and was disgusted by the whole exchange. HI should warn travelers about the nonsense at this location or remove it from the website.

Comfortable new rooms, good breakfast with coffee machine available 24h and the lack of room service balanced by an timely transfer to the nearby shopping Center. By the way, this transfer should be available full time.
