This hotel is best suited for families with children or people arriving in the middle of the night from airline flights. It is a very busy and noisy place - not recommended if you're trying to relax after a long day of driving.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Critique21 Very nice hotel, but was expecting more!
This hotel is perfectly fine. The outside looks great, with some cut stone on the façade and a fresh look.
Pros: Great breakfast selection which includes a pancake maker (new to me), you just press a button and two minutes later, out comes two pancakes. The dinning area can accommodate a lot of people at the same time. The pool is fun with a water slide. The lobby is fresh and modern looking. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The carpeting in the hallways is very loud and outdated. The walls in the hallways and rooms have a plaster finish / stucco that is outmoded. The bathroom is just painted in primer colour and is a far cry from a spa bath with the most basic standard white tiles in the bath enclosure. There was not a fan in the bathroom, so the mirror fogged up in a minute. Their is a smell of chlorine the minute you step in the lobby, coming from the pool on the same level. Even if it's a relatively new hotel, the hallways and rooms have a dated look.
In general, prices for hotel in Newfoundland are much more expensive than the rest of the Maritimes. For the same price, you could stay in a 4**** in a larger city.
