Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonably priced clean Hotel close to Boardwalk in safe area. Overall this Hotel was just ok. The Good: The free breakfast had a good variety. The breakfast attendant was superb. Parking was free and plentiful. Fresh orange infused water to drink and free cookies daily was also a plus. A shuttle to the Tropicana/Boardwalk was available on Friday and Saturday. The place was clean. The Not So Good: The front desk attendant was not helpful upon check-in. There was no hot water on the first morning of our stay. This Hotel is less expensive then staying on the boardwalk but you still have to drive or taxi/uber to get to the Casinos and nightlife. If I couldn't find a deal on the boardwalk then I'd stay here again. January 25, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Staff worked hard but facility was lacking The staff was obviously working very hard but they were overwhelmed and the building needs renovation. My two biggest complaints were the Wi-Fi simply did not work and probably the biggest sin a hotel can commit; they ran out of hot water on Sunday morning. I am an IHG club member and will stay at the Holiday Inn Express again because most of the time the visit is good. However, even with its decent location I would be hard pressed to recommend the West Atlantic City location to other or stay there again myself. I completely understand the hotel was very crowded, if not full, but that should be something the facility and staff can handle without serious issue. January 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the money! The roof leaks in EVERY room on the 4th floor. The outlets didn't work. Someone else's food was in the fridge. NO towel service. Nice staff, but we should have left immediately after check-in. January 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible experience! I stay at Holiday Inn Express for the consistency of excellent experience at a reasonable price. I got neither at this location. My key did not work. When I went to the desk, there wasn't anyone there. I had to wait. After getting into my room, I called the desk for additional shampoo. I had to leave a message, because nobody was at the desk - again! Stopped at desk after dinner and had to wait for someone to give me some shampoo. In the morning my husband and I were "treated" to ice cold showers. The "fitness room" had two treadmills - one was broken and the other rattled like it was going to stop working at any minute. I will be hesitant about this brand I'm the future. I didn't know this occurred with this chain! January 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasantly Surprised We stayed the weekend for a competition at the AC Convention Center and was very pleased with the facilities here. Front desk staff was attentive, helpful and very pleasant. The hotel was booked solid with Cheer competitors and their families and even with the volume of people having breakfast seemingly at the same time they did a great job keeping everything supplied and the quality was very good. Brenda at the front desk on Sunday during check-out time was great, again helpful and nice to work with. The room was very clean and comfortable and well appointed for an express hotel. I tend to use the stairs for the exercise and you can certainly tell the overall expectations of the hotel staff by the conditions of the stairs and these were very clean- well lit etc. With only a 10 min drive to the AC-CC we will come back again and would recommend. With a daughter attending nearby Stockton College we needed a reliable and affordable local hotel. We found it here and will be back. January 15, 2015
