Unfortunately, after an associate booked my travel, and I called two days in advance of my stay, my simple request was not honored. I have stayed at the hotel before, and all rooms facing I-10/Katy Freeway are very noisy. I called in advance of this stay to add to my reservation a simple request to be place on the south side of the hotel, away from the Interstate. The clerk that answered the phone stated she would ensure my reservation was updated and request was honored (I received an email on 9/15 before my 9/17 arrival). Upon arrival, I received a room number and asked the clerk where the room was located and if my request was honored. She told me that the hotel was fully booked, and unfortunately, they did not honor my request for a south-facing room. One simple request and poor customer service/follow-through. Also, it appears they tried to cover up smoke in the room, yet is was still smelled terribly of smoke. This is gross and gets into your nice business clothes you have to hang up to be prepared for the next day. Hope to not have to stay at this hotel againl.

The room and bathroom are small but very comfortable.
The staff was great, very kind people. Me and my family were received by Kattie (at frontdesk) and she was very nice with us attending all our doubts and being so friendly.
She did recognize me as a platinum.
The breakfast is like the most holiday inn express and very well presented.
I recommend this hotel for any trip.

This is a good hotel, but I think it is better for business than for leisure. Next time I'll stay in a regular Holiday Inn (not Express).
