Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lots of Room for Improvement Higher management of this hotel chain must carefully look at this particular site. One is not greeted by membership level, in fact during my recent stay I could not have been assigned a worse room- I was second from the elevator, needless to say my sleep quality was not the best! the cleaning lady limited her activities to providing new towels and making the beds. Or empty water/ soda bottles were left day after day at the place where we laid them. the TV remote was taped on the back and barely functioned; I asked to have it exchanged, had to go to the front desk only to receive another remote in the same condition!! (one would think that IHG Group has enough funds to purchase basic remotes for the TV sets (worthy of a 10 yr olds room 22") in this hotel. The attitude of some of the front desk personnel was certainly not worthy of this brand nor up to U.S. standards!. The unnerving attitude of the dining area personnel left something to be desired as without warning nor finesse promptly at 10:00 a.m. would march in like a team of derby players to curtly put everything away. Had it not been for the fact that the Crowne Plaza across the street was fully booked during my stay, I would not have remained at this place. November 6, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by It is very difficult to get to this hotel from the airport This hotel is advertised as an 'airport hotel', but it is in fact thirty euros away from the airport! I asked several taxis, and they all charge this fixed tariff. There is no shuttle service, and no direct public bus connection to the hotel either. I asked the reception staff to refund my taxi charges, since I booked my room as a consequence of misleading advertisement of the hotel location. However they refused to refund my taxi cost. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not so close to downtown Rather deceiving that it is a 20 minute bus ride to downtown Madrid, more like a 20 minute walk to the bus, a 20 minute bus ride to the metro and a 30 minute ride to downtown, with my math that equals more than an hour to downtown. Hotel could use an outdoor patio and the whole neighbourhood around the hotel good use a good clean up, I can't believe IHG would have two hotels in this area and not push the local authorities to clean up the trash all around their hotels. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bien en descanso , atencion deficiente el precio es bueno ya que igual aumento un poco¡¡¡ la habitacion bien pero la moqueta manchada¡¡ no fue la primera vez que fui y se caracteriza el personal de resepcion por ser muy borde y malos modales ¡¡ como repito ya a sucedido en otras ocasiones , Me resulta extraño que no mejoren ese aspecto del personal, ya que en otras localidades tienen personal muy amable ... Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DISAPPOINTED STAY Near the airport - actually nearly under the flight path of arriving aircraft. The hotel location is very isolated, with no businesses in walking distance. The lack of transportation makes it difficult to stay there without a vehicle. I inquired at the front desk about shuttles and was told there were none and taxis were the only source to the city or airport. The room we received was very small and nondescript, particularly the bed mattress, very thin. There was also a fold out bed that was opened - which we did not use and could not get refolded back into a couch position (to provide more room). The room's window did not have a good seal, so landing aircraft noise could be easily heard. With the window opened jet fumes could be smelled. There didn't seem to be much pride taken in the hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted at the front area by a clump of weeds and bushes that were at least 2 meters tall. I selected this HI Express for a two day stay-over according to the IHG description and was disappointed. October 28, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by en pleno verano no prenden el aire acondicionado En los pasillos tienen las ventanas abiertas sin aire acondicionado y en los cuartos el control lo tienen inhabilitado y cuando preguntas en recepción mienten. Teníamos 2 cuartos con la misma situación. Hasta que por la insistencia el técnico que me enviaron confeso que de los cuartos no se podía controlar la temperatura. Solo ellos. Si tienes que estar en el cuarto por la tarde en verano con el aire que no enfría, que puedes pensar del hotel. MUY MALO. October 23, 2014
