Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice renovations but a few mistakes..... I've stayed in this property fairly regularly over the past 7-8 years. It was getting time for some updating and they are in the process of doing it - which is appreciated. The problem is that they did not put an adjustable height desk chair by the work table. Instead they put a side chair with arms that sits so low that it is virtually unuseable if you expect to get any work done. Also, there are no towel bars in the bathroom which is a little bit of a hassle. July 18, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Under refurbishment, but OK The hotel is undergoing renovation, so there are some clutter and work activities, however, this did not have a negative impact on the noise at night. I did notice that in 2 visits in 2 weeks that both rooms did not have a toilet paper holder.... Overall, this is a good location with a friendly staff, and the refurbish activity should result in improvement. The standard HIE breakfast is OK, but the scrambled eggs seem to be from a mix, and not so great. The rest of the choices are good. July 17, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by yuck I'm not a fussy guy, and I usually don't even notice such things let alone write about them, but this place is really doing a disservice to IHG and the otherwise usually consistent standards of HI/HIX hotels. The room itself actually wasn't bad, about average for this type of hotel. However, to get to the room, you had to walk through a lobby that looked like it hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner since sometime during the Clinton administration, and hasn't seen new carpet since Nixon was in office. Directly outside our room door was what appeared to be a large bloodstain. The only thing more visually offensive than the carpets is the Kermit-the-Frog electric green paint they chose to color the interior with. I sure hope they got a good deal on that paint, as I imagine some paint salesman being thrilled to unload even a gallon of that stuff on some colorblind soul. After seeing the cleanliness of the lobby and hallways, eating breakfast there was pretty much out of the question, but there is an IHOP nearby. Also, no laundry facilities, which are pretty much standard at most HI/HIX hotels. July 16, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Unwelcoming - from staff to environment I have stayed here several times before and I hate to say it, but the service and general ambience seem to have gone down significantly since my last visit. First, the check in experience was completely unmemorable and I was not recognized as a IHG member. In fact, the person at the desk acted as though she would rather be anywhere else. We were assigned a room on the second floor and used the main stairs to access the room. The carpet was extremely stained and either needs a good steam clean or should be replaced outright. It also needs to be vacuumed thoroughly as the lint/dust build up on each step was very much noticeable. The room appeared clean, but the beds in the double queen room were not the same, meaning one bed was lower to the ground than the other. Could be that it had an older thinner mattress, unlike the other, which was thicker and looked as though it had a pillow top. In the bathroom there was no toilet paper holder. The toilet paper was on the shelf below the sink. Upon showering, we discovered a brown object floating in the tub. Even though it appeared to go down the drain when we turned on the water, it kept reappearing, disappearing and reappearing! It was off-putting, to say the least. None of the breakfast options (even the prepackaged stuff) are appetizing. Furthermore, IHG should do away completely with the use of styrofoam cups, plates and bowls. These cannot be healthy. Finally, when my husband tried to exit the hotel, two cleaning staff stood smoking directly outside the front doors in an attempt to avoid the rain, effectively blocking people from exiting the hotel. The hotel should offer another location for staff to smoke, as the front entrance is inappropriate, especially for people trying to enter and exit with small children. Either that or they should require staff to smoke a certain number of feet from the entrance. We will not be coming back to this HIE. July 14, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value and comfortable Conveniently located off of 80/90. Hotel was being remodeled while I was there, but didn't affect the stay. Rooms were clean, neat - good bathrooms. Price was a good deal for the quality that I got. Breakfast was the standard HIE line up July 3, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by The place was a mess Arrived to a construction zone. Carpet on 2nd floor was filthy but in process of remodeling...I hope. Room had been remodeled but had no toilet paper holder, no hair dryer and had not been painted around the vanity where obviously another had been removed. On Saturday our room was not cleaned by 3pm so I went to ask if it would be done today and that we needed to get ready for a wedding. We had been out of our room since 10am. A knock at the door and the housekeeper very rudely said that front desk said you wanted your room cleaned now. I never said that and told her so. I wanted to make sure it got done before we returned later in the evening. it was cleaned when we returned that evening. I definitly would not stay at the Holiday inn express againl July 3, 2015
