Bathroom was not very clean. Shower curtain rod was loose at the wall. Towel quality poor. Room was close to the lobby and was noisy. There are better places to stay at better prices. Shop around before you book a room at this HIE.

Currently under some type of renovation. However, it needs more than that. Athenia, at the front desk, was very polite and helpful during check in and check out. Unfortunately, our room was not in the best of conditions. The bathroom floor was dirty. The brackets holding the shower curtain rod were very close to coming out of the wall. Our room was on the first floor very close to the front desk. The lobby area seemed to be a congregating point for the house keeping staff to loudly carry on which we could easily here in the room This was disturbing to us. I decided to relax in the whirlpool and the timer switch was broken. This is not a very well kept HIE and it definitely shows. I have been in better HIE for less money. Shop around before you book here. I for one will try to avoid staying at this HIE in the future.

We experienced an issue with our toilet not flushing. An employee came up and "fixed" it once. Then we were given a plunger to fix it ourselves. Our daughter became ill while we were there. Very uncomfortable to be sick and not have a working toilet. No apology was given at check out or refund. Was told that because it was "race" weekend, no refunds could be given. We were given extra points on our reward program, however, after this experience we won't be using this hotel, so the points mean nothing.

Looks like a remodel is underway, they are working on the lobby when I stayed there. Hopefully the rooms are next, felt dirty and outdated.

Breakfast area dark and cramped. Poor lighting in guest room bathroom. Outdated furniture and bedding. Bathroom towels need to be replaced. Internet is terrible and was unable to work in guest room.
