Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Non-Smoking Room thick with cigarette odor While the motel appears to be relatively new, the fairly expensive room was hugely disappointing. Despite, supposedly being a non-smoking room the remainder of prior tenants smoking made it a decidedly unpleasant experience. It was almost comical that while signs prohibited smoking, no one apparently had checked to see the if there were smoking odors in the room. In addition the room lighting was poor making it seem like a very dark space. The breakfast was a huge disappointment as well. Choices were extremely limited and the food was unappetizing. Finally, parking space was limited and difficult to find. A very disappointing experience for in all likelihood the most expensive motel room in Muncie. August 28, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Two week stay We are Club Members and have stayed at the Muncie Holiday Inn Express probably 6 times in the last 10 years for two weeks in the summer. In January 2015 we made a reservation for one of the larger rooms at the end of floors 2 or 3 for August 2015 and were told we would have one. When we arrived they said some of the days were booked so they put us in a king room. Some days the ice machine on the first floor would not work and had to go to the 2nd floor. After a week stay we wanted to do laundry and the washing machine was broke and had to go to a laundry mat. I slipped getting out of the tub even though holding on to the bar and ask two different people at two different times if I could have a rubber mat both said they would check and let me know. No one ever brought one or let me know they did not have one. The frig was small and the freezer was frozen shut so we had to use a cooler to keep our stuff cold. Two days in a row when we returned in the evening we had to go to the front desk and get towels, wash rags and bath mat. They said we had our do not disturb sign on, yes we did at 9:00 in the morning when we went to breakfast. August 21, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Night in Muncie Comfortable bed and good working equipment in the fitness center. Breakfast food was good. They ran out of yoghourt because every room was booked. I think a good manager would notice that every room is booked and order more food especially yoghourt. Many people are trying to eat healthy these days. Who runs out of yoghourt?? August 6, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great bed, great breakfast The beds were comfortable; the staff were excellent; the bathrooms were clean and spacious; but my room smelled a little of smoke when I arrived. I did not complain or ask for a different room because I knew I would not be spending too much time there. Also, I didn't know if I had even requested a non-smoking room, so it wasn't the hotel's fault. I'm sure if I would have requested a different room, management would have accommodated me. I am very satisfied with this hotel and would definitely stay there again. July 31, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not a regular customer We usually stay at less expensive hotels but decided this trip to go for a nicer hotel and we knew from past experience that Holiday Inn was one of the better hotels with good beds, quiet clean rooms and choice of pillows. This met all my criteria of a good hotel but I will be checking out the competition in the area before my next annual trip to Muncie. I am not used to paying such high rates for a place that I only need to sleep but there is no doubt that more luxury means more costs. My wife does not want to go back to budget hotels after staying at Holiday Inn. July 25, 2015
