After spending 7 weeks in IHG hotels around the midwest, the Newton one did not meat the level of customer service that I have received at various other IHG hotels.
Without notice, I was downgraded from a suite to an accessible room, but still was charged the suite price. Hotel would not honor my confirmation notice that was received from IHG.com on the type of room that I reserved. Overheard front desk state that they already gave my room away to another guest that was not happy with their room.
Disappointing, as I reserved this a month in advance. Ended up moving to different hotel chain and they upgraded me to a two room suite for my previous issues at another chain. Now that was customer service!

Very convenient to downtown, the race track, 2 miles to the KOA, and 2 miles to the freeway. It was clean. the lady at breakfast was very friendly and the room service personnel did a great job.
The pool was clean as was the exercise room.

All i can say is replace the dryer!!!! Dang that thing is terrible. Had to do laundry and I spent a fortune trying to dry my clothes. Other then that the place was good to go.

We loved staying at this hotel. The accommodations were outstanding but finding the locations was very difficult. We travel this route about 6 times a year and we have looked for this place in the past but never found it. We once were about 5 blocks from the location and asked an attendant at the Git 'n Go. They did not know where it was. Finally this stay we asked someone who gave us great directions. You need more signs directing to the hotel. It's worth the stay once you can find it. We usually go all the way to Des Moines and stay but this is a better location if the directions are known.

We checked in , went to the room, key would not open the door and there was a TV on in the room. I went back downstairs and told the receptionist what happened. She said that was impossible because her computer said room was empty. Finally she accompanied back to the room where my husband was waiting. She knocked, no answer, but her key wouldn't open the door because the double lock was engaged. Eventually we were assigned a different room. I believe she should have called security after no one answered the phone or her knock.
But we enjoyed the room and the breakfast.
