Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Experience Very disappointed with the room. I travel routinely and like to use the Holiday Inn Express chain due to their consistent service and quality. This hotel was an exception. The room was very small, and outdated. The heater ran all night and had a loud squeal. The breakfast bar was poorly maintained, and as supplies ran out, it took forever for staff to refill food trays for the many frustrated guests. The worst part was the room rate was considerably higher than most others due to the location which only added to our misery. All in all, I will continue to use this hotel chain, but stay away from this particular hotel. Ps. The shower leaked all night long! January 7, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and just as expected If you are a light sleeper pay extra for the 3rd floor. the walking from above is amplified to the room below. Other then that fact, everything was as expected and a good place to stay if you are int he area. January 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place to Stay in San Luis Obispo This is a grew place to stay in San Luis Obispo. It is one of the nicer Holiday Inn Express locations. It has less of a corporate feel and more of a localized feel. Easy parking and fantastic location. It's close to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and it was also was to walk to restaurants from the hotel. Staff was really friendly and engaging. January 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Much nicer after the renovation I like the new decor in the rooms. Some of the renovation work could have been done less sloppily (grout not finished for example) but it the rooms are overall much nicer than before. Nice furniture. January 2, 2015

Maids need to have a list of check-outs so they don't randomly start knocking on doors in the morning. Breakfast could use some more gluten-free or healthy options though there is a wide variety for those who eat a standard American breakfast. December 20, 2014
