Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Comfort good but food lousy The room and cleaniness was average. The night person guided us to a Mexican Restaurant which was okay Mexican. He gave us directions but failed to say we needed to do a right turn out of the parking lot before we turn left. We ended up with oncoming traffic coming at us and was lucky we weren't in an accident. Then the morning person did not keep up with the breakfast and she was no where in site either. So yes we had a fair visit. We not sure about stay at this establishment again. November 18, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Abuhandy The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean. Since we have stayed in a few Holiday Inn Express hotel in the last 14 days, we have found all the breakfasts have been identical. The hot food was all overcooked, especially the eggs which were rock hard! November 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Smiling welcoming staff I've stayed here by myself and with my husband and I feel safe and welcome all of the time. We try and stay here when we travel to AZ. November 16, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No Choice My car had broken down and there are no other Holiday Inn Express in Santa Fe. While I waited for repairs I stayed four days. My room was small compared to other HIE hotels and the chairs very uncomfortable and the internet stopped working frequently. There are many restaurants within walking distance and the bus and taxi service is superb but there is no transportation service at the hotel. All the staff were friendly and very helpful, I felt at home. I was allowed to stay day to day since we did not know when my car would be fixed. The egg and cheese omelets at all HIE hotels are not to my liking but the scrambled eggs they had one morning were very good along with the cinnamon rolls. I would rather pay more and have a restaurant available. November 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable pillows and more! Enjoyed our stay in Santa Fe. The Holiday Inn Express was conveniently located to the downtown and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful! November 12, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good enough I stayed for a week and would stay again, though probably not for a full week. It's a nice hotel if you don't plan on spending too much time in it. There is a microwave and a mini-frig, but for week long business trips where you don't want to eat out everyday, it's a little tough. The room was clean and comfortable. I had the room at the end of the hall which made it quieter than most. There were a few cosmetic repairs that would have made the room nicer. The hot breakfast buffet was okay - beats going out for breakfast every morning, but some fresh fruit salad would be a welcome addition. November 12, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Under Staffed When we checked in I was the 5th person in line at the desk. There was only one desk clerk to check everyone in and also seemed to be responsible for answering the phone which he had to do continuously which further slowed the check-in process. The clerk seemed unperturbed which actually was a good thing but also seemed to indicate that this was normal and not at all out of the ordinary. There was significant road noise from what seemed to be one of the cities major thoroughfares so if you're a light sleeper this probably isn't a place for you. I was up early having coffee in the breakfast room. I noticed it was the night desk clerk who brought out the breakfast items which seemed a little unusual based on my experience at other properties. The impact of this was really not apparent until later when the food was gone with several customers milling around looking for something to eat. Finally another employee came in, saw that the usual offerings were gone and left. Sometime later she returned and replenished the breakfast offerings. The one good thing I will say about this property is that it was clean and met expectations in that area. November 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent choice for traveling with a pet This particular Holiday Inn Express was freshly redecorated in colors I found particularly soothing: deep blues and grays. Like other HIE's, the breakfast had a good range of options but not much for those of us who are lactose intolerant. And it was up to the high standard of cleanliness I have come to expect of an HIE. There was a wooded area for dog walking, convenient albeit somewhat rough underfoot. More light would have helped. But I was assigned a room close to that area: very helpful. This hotel is conveniently located in a good commercial area with lots of food choices. And the rate was better than average for an HIE. November 8, 2014
