Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This hotel needs substantial improvement in service My stay at Hotel Indigo Boston-Newton Riverside was beyond disappointed. During my stay, my key card failed to open my room, for two consecutive nights! Each time I have to come back to the front desk and asked my key card to be remade. Since many guests were checking in at the same time, each time I have to wait for a while for my turn. I raised my concern to a manger on duty on Sunday. The manger assured me he would bring this issue on the managerial meeting on Monday. However, four days since I have checked out and I have yet to receive a response from the hotel. Another issue is although I requested 2pm late checkout (front desk acknowledged this), my room was opened around 1:45pm on the day of departure even with Do Not Disturb tag hanging outside my room! This is frightening and completely unacceptable. Overall I am frustrated with my stay at this hotel. November 20, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Value Fine hotel. Staff is friendly and attentive, the restaurant is excellent. Rooms are clean and the hallways are quiet at night. A bit out-of-town, but only 25 minutes by train from Fenway. Highly recommended. November 18, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quick Business Stay Overall, a nice hotel. Clean and comfortable, easy to find and easy access to Mass Turnpike and 95. Only a few small not-so-great comments: 1. Hotel bartenders were too involved in their own conversation to provide efficient service. Once acknowledged, it was as though I was being done a favor. 2. Hotel parking on P1 level needs better lighting at night. Very creepy to walk from car to interior lobby as it was so dark out in the open spaces on this level. 3. Kind of loud neighbors or could at least hear them through the wall which was slightly annoying, but they quieted down after midnight. Other than these few things, all else seemed fine. It was nice to have Aveda product in bathroom, sheets and bed were clean and comfortable, and front desk staff were very friendly and inviting. I also liked the fact that there were multiple common areas where one could sit. November 17, 2014
