Yes the bathroom is small, the bedroom not on the large size but both completely adequate, bright and spotlessly clean WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED? All the staff are friendly, helpful and polite. Would not hesitate to stay again

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Best customer service
I am sad to see one of your front desk people, Frank, leave for another hotel. I have had the best experience staying at your hotel the past 6 months because of Frank at the front desk and Amanda the guest services manager. I particularly enjoy how even though the rooms are small you guys are able to utilize every space and make it functional for a working professional. The front desk is the face of the hotel and I will be missing seeing Frank's face.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by chuckyray Great place to stay while in Santa Barbara
Great Location. Walking distance to beach, restaurants and wine tasting. Train station and trolley are right outside the hotel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Peanuts1 Love this little part of Santa Barbara
I love this hotel. My wife stay at Hotel Indigo whenever we visit Santa Barbara. Great location, small but creatively designed rooms, comfortable beds, fun common areas and close to the beach. The hotel offers great amenities including onsite dining, fitness room and open space. Area amenities include close proximity to the trains, freeway and retail shops.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KenSF Excellent staff; compact room
We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant was surprisingly good (I'm always a bit skeptical of the quality of hotel restaurants). We were quite satisfied with the food and cocktails at dinner. The location is extremely convenient; it's an easy walk to the activities and amenities of State Street as well as the wharf. It's also adjacent to the Amtrak station, so you wouldn't even need a taxi to get between the station and the hotel.
The proximity of the train station and tracks did result in some noise from passing trains. However, we didn't find the trains frequent enough to bother us -- and we had a room facing the tracks. If you think it might be an issue, request a room facing the other direction.
The room size is definitely small, but the space is used efficiently. We would have liked a second chair for the room, but there was no space for one. (However, the "garden room" that we booked did have an enclosed outdoor area with seating for 2.) The bathroom is extremely compact. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from a "Euro-style wet bathroom". It consisted of a small shower with shower curtain, and a glass shower door that you stow to access the toilet and deploy to protect the toilet area from the shower when you're using it. I would have preferred a full-sized bathroom, but I appreciated the efficient, space-saving design almost necessitated by the conversion of the historic building into a modern hotel.
There are certainly hotels in Santa Barbara that are quieter, with larger, more well-appointed rooms. But we found that for the price, Hotel Indigo offered excellent value. We will definitely consider it for a return visit.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Phoenician2015 Great location but tiny bathrooms!
Overall, this is a very good hotel. Great location, very nice hotel rooms and public areas. The exercise facility is very, very small (about half the size of a hotel room) - but it has good quality equipment. My biggest concern was the bathroom - it was tiny! So tiny that you have to fold back the shower door to use the toilet.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Momtobe2015 Pricey Sized Dorm Room with Great Service/Location
Everything about this hotel is great except the size of the room/bathroom. Had I been the one to choose a hotel in Santa Barbara, I probably would have looked at other accommodations based on the reviews of others. Don't get me wrong, the service, location and cleanliness of the hotel was amazing but the price did not justify the size of the room/bathroom. We only stayed for a night so it wasn't that bad but I would have changed hotels if we stayed longer.
