Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic views from overwater bungalow My wife and I visited French Polynesia for our honeymoon and we picked Intercontinental hotels based on friend's recommendations. We were not disappointed. Beautiful and relaxing atmosphere, attentive staff, gorgeous view and romantic setting. 11 December 2014

Location and staff were great, but room was so so....My wife and I stayed at the IC in Moorea and the IC Thalasso in Bora Bora. The IC in Moorea was ok, but the rooms were so so. We stayed in the beach bungalow. Our first night we were attacked by mosquitoes while sleeping. So we pretty much itched ourselves for several days after that. My advice would be to skip the IC Moorea and stay in the IC Thalasso in Bora Bora. The extra cost is worth every penny to stay in the over water bungalows. The rooms and grounds in Bora Bora were amazing. We were in shock after arriving at the IC Bora Bora Thalasso the quality was top notch. 07 December 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great resort/service but needs better bed and honesty My wife and I spent the first 4 days of our honeymoon here. We were amazed by the resort, the staff's knowledge and friendliness and the overall relaxed feel of the place. The only two items we were dissatisfied with were: 1) The "king size bed" was really two twin beds pushed together with no solid topper across them. Needless to say, someone ended up sleeping in the "crack' between the two mattresses. It did not make for the most comfortable sleep. 2) We are IHG Ambassadors. We asked the front desk when we checked in if we received a room upgrade one level as guaranteed by the Ambassador's Club. The staff lied to us and said that we were. We came to find out that we were in the same class room that we had booked. This is unacceptable. It's one thing to try and claim availability as a reason for not upgrading (even though the upgrade is guaranteed), but to outright lie is unacceptable. This practice should be looked into. Aside from those two points, we would stay here again in a heartbeat We would also recommend this to others as a great place to stay. 30 November 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Intercontinental Moorea Excellent hotel. Concierge service excellent, ask for Pierre or Lin both very knowledgeable, helpful, prompt and patient. The rooms in the main building are ok, standard hotel room style. Make sure to carry mosquito spray as they mosquitos come out in the evening. We moved to a beach bungalow half way through our stay and it was a much better choice, should have upgraded the 1st day of arrival. Room is much nicer, spacious, and no mosquitos. 30 November 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful overwater bungalows Traveled November 2014 with my husband and 5-year old son. Our premium over-water bungalow was fantastic... nice trundle bed for our son, comfy bed and furnishings, well-maintained and it was amazing to be able to watch the fish, snorkel and admire the sunsets from our balcony. The property itself is beautiful - lovely pools (though one is quite awkward to enter/exit), grounds and lagoons and it was a bonus to be able to watch the dolphins at the Dolphin Center. The concierge is excellent and helpful - they arrived at our door shortly after arrival with a goodie bag for our son (treats, temporary tattoos etc) which he was thrilled with. Service in the remainder of the hotel is quite hit and miss and uncharacteristic of my experiences with Intercontinental Hotels. Unbelievably slow and disorganized check-in, advertising crepes at the pool bar which weren't actually available, slow and uninterested service in the restaurants, getting a carafe of coffee from room service with no cups provided and that type of thing. Nothing that ruins a holiday but after three nights, we were pretty tired of the inconsistencies in service. 25 November 2014
