    There are a lot of hotels in Alpharetta. Oddly enough, many are just terrible. The staybridge is, so far, my top pick in the region. The downside is that it isn't walking distance to anything.

    Nice hotel for a business trip

    My second experience at this location was about the same as the first.. adequate for my needs. I thought the AC was very noisy, and a neighboring room had a barking dog that kept me awake several times, but everything else was good.

    Odor in many rooms

    There was a strong odor in my room that was brought to the attention of the front desk to multiple people on several occasions. They first offered to clean the room, which did not help the odor, then they offered to move, but only after a week because of capacity issues all the while I just had to stay in the room and live with the odor. After directly inquiring why doesn't the hotel have an ozone machine, they stated they did and they would run it that day. Why did I need to bring up the ozone machine for someone to decide that they would finally run it? If there is a noticeable odor in the room, why wouldn't it get run before I arrived? I asked a front desk person to come to my room and they acknowledged the strong odor, why wasn't this taken care of before it was ok'd for a guest to stay in? I also asked for a scheduled cleaning on the same day as there would be people in there setting up the machine anyway. I was doing paperwork that day and waited all day, neither the cleaning or the ozone machine was brought in. Additionally I was staying with the company credit card on file and this was supposed to be direct billed. They ended up charging my credit card that was supposed to be for incidentals and I had to bring it to management's attention, to which they did correct eventually. I stay in extended stays much of the year due to the nature of my career and I would say that this Staybridge ranks among the worst stays I have had. The front desk was not helpful and when I asked for a non scheduled cleaning from Derik, he rolled his eyes and stated "We can't have people in the room while the ozone machine is running", but why couldn't they clean the room before then? Or after? And to top it off, he stated he put in the order and neither came in, for cleaning or for ozone. As I am also in a customer facing career I know the first rule is to tell me what you can do, not what you can't. I feel like the front desk put roadblocks to every request I made and just told me what they couldn't do, then when I worked something out that they could do, it never got done. I am not a picky person (I asked for ONE cleaning in the two weeks I was there) but when there is a noticeable odor in my room that affects my sleep and even gets into my clothes, I expect it to be handled in an expeditious manner. Will I stay there again? Not if I can help it. I would suggest the hotel analyze their processes and runs a root failure analysis because in the end of the day the customer experience at a hotel is the most important thing, and I feel like this hotel missed on several occasions when they should have been able to rectify the situation.
