My first impression of the hotel wasn't favorable. With construction blocking the front door, we had to circle the hotel one and a half times just to find an entry point. But the good qualities of
this hotel more than redeemed a small inconvenience.
The staff and wonderful service at this hotel makes it great, and I would definitely stay here again. The front desk clerk tucked in her tiny little hole in the wall is just as pleasant and helpful as could be. The guest room, unaffected by the construction outside, was roomy and comfortable although the lighting was a little dim. The bathroom was small, but the vanity was separate so that made it nice to be able to use the vanity while someone else was in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable, bouncy not hard, and there were plenty of pillows to choose from (I brought my own).
My kids used the pool that evening. The water was clean, and they enjoyed jumping from the hot tub into the water. There were no towels provided by the pool, but we could get them from the front desk.
The laundry was difficult to find. There are two of them listed on the amenities chart, first floor and third floor. Naturally we were on the second floor, so I tried the third floor laundry first. When I got there, I found it had been turned into a storage closet, so I used the first floor laundry. The only thing lacking there would be a chair to sit in while waiting for our swimsuits to dry. There dryer was fast, however, so I didn't have to wait long.
As far as the food goes, first we enjoyed the complimentary popcorn in our room as a before bed snack. In the morning, the breakfast bar filled us up wonderfully. So many choices of pancakes, cereal, pastries, yogurt, fruit, cream cheese, breakfast meats and eggs, juices, coffees, you'd have to be there a while to try it all. We didn't try it all but one of our kids said it was the best breakfast bar he'd been to. It was fantastic, especially the cinnamon rolls! You've got to have one of those when you stay. [Less]
