Outdoor market square Tammelantori

Tammelan Tori, Tampere, 33500

The black sausage or black pudding, ”mustamakkara” as we call it, is a definite must when you’re in Tampere! It tastes best when enjoyed at Laukontori or Tammelantori market squares, fresh out of the kiosk with some cold milk. Market place Tammelantori is located on the eastern side of the centre.

Moominvalley in Tampere

Puutarhakatu 34, Tampere, 33100

Have you ever wondered where Snorkmaiden and the other Moomins live when they’re not sunbathing on the Riviera? The answer is in the cellar of the Tampere Art Museum in Tampere, Finland! The original Moomin illustrations by the Finnish artist Tove Jansson are an essential part of the atmosphere of the museum, as well are the three-dimensional tableaux built by Jansson’s lifelong partner, Tuulikki Pietilä.

Tampere Hall is Scandinavia’s largest congress and concert centre and these facilities together with our professional, caring staff are the reason why we have become one of the most popular venues in Finland. Our hotel is just a short walk from the Tampere Hall Congress Centre.

Tammerkoski rapids

Descend from Hämeensilta a bit closer to the rapids. Arrange the rapids and the season's branches behind you and take a selfie. Tampere was founded in 1779 on the banks of Tammerkoski rapids.
