Fortunately, we did not spend much time in our room and fortunately we had a discounted group rate as we were there for an event that weekend.
The tub had mold all around, the room smelled like fish, one of the chairs in the room had stains that appeared like blood (so no one used that chair). When we called to ask to be moved to another room we were told that the hotel was booked and no other rooms were available. The hotel staff was rude when I called for extra towels and a roll of toilet paper. The bar/restuarant staff were bothered that we were there, did not serve us, so we left. The lighting in the room was very poor. No ventilation in the bathroom.

We stayed here last year as well for an overnighter before departing on the Ferry to Marthas' Vineyard. The biggest advantage is its location to The Steamship Authority, and dining/ shopping in downtown Falmouth.
A lot of the other motels had rather scary reviews in terms of conditions of the rooms.
This particular motel is in the process of renovation. My main beef was that the air conditioner had leaked and left the carpet around it soaked.
The exterior was to be painted and when we arrived all the exterior woodwork had been scraped and the painters were about to come in.
The room rate was lower than last year, but still high for the amenities provided. No free coffee in the lobby, no free breakfast in the morning. Our room did have a fridge and coffee maker, but I never use the in room coffee makers.

The room we were in had a strong, unpleasant odor and was extremely noisy. In addition, it was not fully cleaned, dingy and the door was extremely touchy and would not open easily. The exterior and interior common areas are under renovation so it is a complete mess and would not stay here until that is completed at a minimum.

The service for our wedding block was very poor. There were miscommunications with our guests regarding the availability of rooms in our block by the staff at the front desk. There was poor communication between the person in charge of securing the block and front desk staff. The bride had to go to the hotel in person to make sure that the guests' rooms were booked properly. This was a busy holiday weekend in a popular vacation destination and the staff was poorly trained and inadequate.

We had a wonderful stay here at the Holiday Inn. The staff was so nice and accommodating. The hotel itself and the room was very clean. The only thing I noticed was that the bathroom was missing a vent fan and the internet didn't work so well. The temperature of the room was great. I loved that the room had a mini fridge and iron with ironing board. Fast easy check in and out.

Bill, on the front desk, was super! Friendly and very helpful with great advice on how to explore the area including tips on getting to Martha's Vineyard.
Bob, in the bar/ restaurant was equally great!
The room was clean and modern.
Have stayed in hundreds of hotels throughout the world. Would recommend this onel to anyone! Great value!
