Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing Stay during Business Travels I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during a business trips to 3 colleges in the area and it was a central location for the colleges I had to visit and a great hotel. I was able to relax peacefully after my long days in a clean and updated room. I only asked for extra lotion and for my room not to be cleaned and they did exactly what I asked for during my stay. The hotel is also near many food establishments and I was able to get food delivered to the hotel. I was also able to do some shopping at my favorite stores, tjmaxx, marshells, target and whole foods which are all on the same road. Trader Joes and other fast food restaurants are near by as well. I have booked two more stays for my future business trips in this area and will continue to do so! February 12, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Recent stay We recently stayed in the Hadley/Amherst area to visit our daughter at UMass. We chose the Holiday Inn Express because it is relatively new, is in a convenient location and was a decent value. We booked a 1 bedroom king suite; but upon entering the room, we realized the layout and amenities did not suit our family. I went to the front desk to ask about changing our room and fully expected to pay for an additional upgrade. Much to my surprise, the manager on duty agreed with my assessment of the room and changed us to two deluxe king size rooms which were connected at no additional cost. That was customer service at its finest and greatly appreciated. Overall impression: great hotel for parents visiting their kids in nearby colleges, clean, modern, safe. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. February 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay I stay here a lot for work and I can't speak highly enough of the staff. In 2014 I stayed the better part of 5 months with them. As a frequent customer many of the staff remember me, and ensure that my stays are good. They leave me alone when I want to be left alone, yet are attentive wh n needed. During a recent sta stay the Hadley area received a lot of snow. Not only did the staff ensure that the parking lot and sidewalks were cleared on a continual basis, they even brushed the snow of ,y vehicle multiple times a day, and shoveled in between the vehicles in the lot. This was really unexpected and I feel they went the extra mile for their guests. I stopped on my up to MA and purchased a snow shovel thinking I was going to have to dig myself out each day. What a great surprise for all of their guests!. There is no food on-site besides breakfast, and that would be the only thing they could have done better when constructed - constructed a restaurant connected to the hotel. However, there are plenty of choices within 3 miles. February 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Stay The stay was perfect, I was immediately recognized as a Rewards Club Member and was given a complimentary upgrade to the Queen Suite. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was easy to maintain with temperature controls, contrary to other review. The pocket door to separate the living area is a nice touch. The best part of the stay was the snow removal from the vehicles. It was completely unexpected and shows the extra mile this property goes to. February 8, 2015
