Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I stay here often I have been staying at this hotel for several years. It is in close proximity of the office I frequently go to. It is sometimes difficult to get a room here even though I am a repeat customer. The last time I stayed, I was surprised that the room rate had gone up over40%!!! I have to admit the sharp increase has made it less desirable and I am certain I can find a more desirable hotel for the money close by. Even though I like the hotel and the staff and I are on first name basis, I will probably be staying elsewhere on my next trip to Houston. June 5, 2013

What you would expect from mid scale hotel - comfortable beds, nice bathroom and shower, and good breakfast. Had microwave or fridge in my room. Just a stone throw from the famous Katy Highway, this hotel takes you in minutes to the Reliant Park, the venue of the Oil Technology Confernce. The breakfasts are free but well cooked and liberally supplied to guests who, of course, serve thmselves. I particularly enjoyed the gymnasium as it kept me in shape throughout my stay in Houston. What would take this facility to greater heights is its unobtrusive but attentive staff. They made service appear simple and displayed an easy ability to extend the rules for the customer's comfort. I truly enjoyed my stay in this hotel and commend its peace, comfort and memorable breakfasts to all men of goodwill. May 21, 2013

The Young lady Manager I only wish that every Hotel Manager and employee had the same people skills and mgmt style she has (Forgive me for not recalling your name) She is the day time manager. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A Dump This hotel is older and used to be a different brand prior to becominga HOliday Inn express. The rooms are very small. The internet does not work properly, forget calling the tech support it was no help. I stayed 2 nights and the first day they never made up my room at all and the second day it wasnt until after 3:00 that they were coming by..at this point I was beyond fusterated so I left for another location where things were much better. This property is definately not worth the money they are asking for their rooms. I come to Houston regularly for business and will stay at other properties than here. April 10, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and good value I stayed at this Holiday Inn Express while visiting my Dad in Houston, the location was great for the Energy Corridor (where he lives) but it is a little bit away from downtown Houston. However if you have a car it is easy to get there is 20 minutes by car straight down the 45. The hotel was very clean, the service was very good and it was very good value. The breakfast wasn't anything special but had good variety and was exactly what I needed first thing in the morning. The only negative I would mention was that the fitness room is quite small, and the running machines were not working when I was there so I had to use the bike instead. However this was only a minor issue, I wasn;t there to do running! Overall this was a really good hotel and I would recommend it to anyone looking for good value accomodation in the Energy Corridor. Shuttle service is available generally in day time and depends on availability of driver in the evenings. for office goers it is available but for the tourist or his family there is limited scope due to location of site. Owner and desk staff were very co-operative and went out of the way to make stay comfortable although houston city per say has nothing to offer of tourist value.Keemat store in hillcroft is very good but one trip to and back is 40 usd. but worth it if one goes to saugor restaurant vegetarian in hill croft. buy haldiram prepared curries and chapatis as they are value for money there About breakfast-there is no change so becomes monotonous after a few days but quality of food is very good.Recommend to add a potato item french fry,mashed etc as an item across all holiday inn express hotels as there is no salty item other than bread butter and eggs/omlette and vegetarians dont take eggs. overall---- will stay again if opportunity available. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best Holiday Inn Express This Holiday Inn Express definitely isn't in the best of shape. They do the best with what they have, but it's an old structure with outdated AC units in the rooms and other run down stuff. The staff is pleasant but I never have a USA today paper at my door in the mornings. That's just 1 of a number of examples I could use to show the difference between this Express compared to others I've stayed at. Breakfast is OK with the exception of the paper thin and chewy bacon. It's the cheapest hotel in the area and you're definitely "getting what you pay for" when staying at this location. I'm a platinum priority club member and this is one of the few hotels I rarely get an upgraded room. Not sure why and I've never bothered to ask. I stay here on business when I'm by myself. Whenever I come with my wife or other business associates I always stay at the Courtyard Marriot or Hlton Garden Inn right next to this hotel. They're lucky they have a captive audience because of the location and businesses in the area. March 6, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not enough tables the hotel was fine, nothing wrong, I would say average. The breakfast area had only 5 or 6 table. In a 4 day stay all tables were taken when I arrived for breakfast each day. Get rid of the couches and put some tables in for the breakfast area. Oh and the front desk staff upon my check in had the personallity of stumps. A little more customer friendly training might be needed. January 23, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Shuttle Concerns/Priority Number dropped in system I am traveling to Houston quite frequently and have been staying at this hotel because it is across the highway from my employer Shell and provides good value. It is located across the highway from Shell so the shuttle service is very important. Other competing hotels are on the same side of highway as Shell. The staff are friendly but I do have some concerns. I have found the shuttle service unreliable. It is stated the shuttle starts at 7 AM and I have used it many times and it never begins on time which creates problems for me making meetings on time at Shell. I used it once in late November to pick me up and I waited at least 30 minutes for pick-up. I may have to consider renting a vehicle more often or switching hotel on future visits because of this situation. On my most recent visits, I discovered that though I provided my Piroirty number to the hotel in July, they had dropped the number from their system and therefore some recent stays had not been properly recorded. I rectified that situation by calling Priority Customer Service on Dec. 16th. I am not sure who is at fault for this error but I shouldn't have to keep adivsing the same hotel I have a Priority number. December 16, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Room, Bad Bed Pretty room, even though the wardrobe is super large and takes up a lot of room leaving little room to walk at the foot of the bed. The bed was very uncomfortable. No padding, and felt like springs. The air conditioner didn't cool well during the day, and blew straight up into the curtains. Because of that, the curtains could not be closed at night. October 20, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Recovery from surgery I was hoping to be able to stay in one location, but was asked to leave 1 day, while having to return the next night because other arrangements couldn't be met. I initial contact with the national phone number was not pleasant and the operator didnt seem to be able to understand much of what I was trying to communicate. Several breakfast choices were "empty" while several had to wait around. The kitchen worker didn't seem to be able to notice things that needed to be done, then do them. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hou I-10 West Energy Corridor Located directly off of the Katy Freeway just west of the Beltway in Houston made this hotel perfect for us. It had easy access to the freeways, close to City Centre and Memorial mall for shopping with lots of restaurants nearby. The rooms were very clean and we loved that the had smoking and nonsmoking rooms available. The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was very quiet. We couldn't even hear the traffic from the major freeway out front. :) July 10, 2012
