Featured Los Angeles Hotels

With its year-round moderate temperature, nearby beaches, star-studded nightlife, sizzling culinary scene and wealth of world-famous tourist attractions, Los Angeles is one of the world’s greatest and most famous destinations. This sprawling city covers 467 square miles and is home to approximately 140 nationalities of people speaking 224 different languages, making it one of the most diverse cities in the world. It is also the birthplace of the world's movie industry and home to many of the big screen’s biggest celebrities and talents No matter your reason for visiting, IHG has excellent Los Angeles hotels not far from the city’s best local attractions.

Things to See

One of L.A.’s most popular activities is a guided bus tour, which takes groups through Hollywood and Beverly Hills, giving glimpses of the city's major attractions and your favorite stars' homes. A tour of Universal Studios in Hollywood is a must for movie buffs. Combining a functioning movie studio and amusement park, it has fun rides for the entire family, including Jurassic Park, Transformers 3-D and Despicable Me Minion Mayhem rides. For the grown-ups, The Getty Center has thousands of paintings by iconic artists like Van Gogh and Monet, as well as beautiful sculptures and antiquities.

Hotels in Los Angeles

If you plan to spend a lot of time shopping, dining and relaxing on the beach, consider Santa Monica, located on L.A.’s western edge with easy access to Santa Monica and Venice beaches, and the popular Third Street Promenade restaurants and shops. Beverly Hills and West Hollywood also have plenty of luxury hotels if you wish to experience the glitz and glamor of the Los Angeles lifestyle.

Where to Stay

The world-famous Strip, still the most popular place to enjoy the never-ending excitement of Los Angeles, has hotels that cater to all. While some enjoy being in the middle of the action, those who prefer a low-key experience can find even more hotels just a few blocks from the Strip many of which offer a more affordable price and level of luxury. Consider downtown L.A. if you want to stay within the city limits without spending a fortune. Along with bustling nightlife and shopping, downtown is home to Staples Center, where you can catch a Lakers game or concert, ,and a multi-cultural culinary offerings perfect for serious foodies, such as sushi in Little Tokyo and Mexican taquerias on Olvera Street. L.A.’s public transportation system is limited, and traffic can be quite agitating for first-time visitors. I was extremely pleased with Holiday Inn and will use it again, [Less]
Convenient location, great value
By ctgard88
I travel for work quite often, this was my first time staying with this hotel. Overall it was a pleasant experience. The bathroom lighting was not adequate and the toiletries provided were not very [More] good. I did have to fix the shower curtain as it was half way on (un-buttoned) but other than that nice room. Great is flying out of LAX
By revlgh
Very convenient and cost friendly if flying out of LAX, especially an early morning flight. Beat the traffic. Relieve the stress. [Less]
Clean and comfortable - great value downtown
By Teridb
I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Holiday Inn express downtown LA,. From reading reviews I expected to be in a super sketchy area but instead found myself in a typical downtown area of any [More] major city. The hotel itself was very clean and modern. The staff was attentive and helpful. The free shuttle service to the convention center every day was the perfect icing on the cake. They provide an excellent free breakfast with all of the "free" breakfast standards as well as meats, eggs and fresh fruits. The front desk was really helpful for finding area restaurants that would deliver so I didn't have to worry about going out at night after work. The hotel was quiet, bed comfortable and air conditioning cold. Everything I look for in a business hotel. [Less]
Excellent as Always

I can always rely on HI Express to deliver a good stay, and this trip was no exception. [Less]
Comfortable stay in LA near downtown
By peejay59
Experienced a comfortable stay in Westlake area at this highly rated HI Express. Agree with most positive comments and compared to downtown LA, the price was right and free parking too. Just a [More] few comments to share include that the top floor is best since the sound barrier between other floors is not good. You can hear others walking above and if you're a light sleeper, this could an issue. Also, two of three nights a police chopper hovered near the hotel area for 20 minutes each time with full spotlight searching for something/someone. Neighborhood is not ideal so stayed in the hotel at night. Next door is an abandoned dilapidated building - not a nice view from my window in 414. [Less]
Comfortable bed and great access
By rukenya8749
I stayed at this great facility while on a 10-day visit with my son having traveled all the way from Nairobi, Kenya. The hotel is very easily accessible with very clean rooms and warm staff. The beds [More] are very comfortable. I would stay at this hotel the next time I visit Hollywood. [Less]
Helpful Staff
By Chris5333
When I checked-in, my air conditioner wasn't working. I called the front desk. They had someone fix it within fifteen minutes. While some may think that the fact that it wasn't working should remove [More] points, I think the fact that they fixed it so quickly adds points. All of the staff that I interacted with were friendly and helpful. [Less]
A Great Base For Your Vacation
By islandperson
The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast consisted of everything you could want, eggs, bacon, hot coffee or tea, cereals, even a pancake machine. The beds were very comfortable and we were able [More] to sleep at night after our long days of seeing all the LA attractions. Loved to come into the room each day after touring Warner Brothers Studio, museum hopping, or just eating the great pizza at California Pizza and walk into a clean room. Of course it is just a 5 minute week to the Hollywood Walk of Fame with all the stars. Just remember Hollywood has its share of homeless and dirt. Loved when we took off for Santa Monica or Burbank with its especially clean streets, specialty stores, and restaurants. [Less]
