Featured Los Angeles Hotels

With its year-round moderate temperature, nearby beaches, star-studded nightlife, sizzling culinary scene and wealth of world-famous tourist attractions, Los Angeles is one of the world’s greatest and most famous destinations. This sprawling city covers 467 square miles and is home to approximately 140 nationalities of people speaking 224 different languages, making it one of the most diverse cities in the world. It is also the birthplace of the world's movie industry and home to many of the big screen’s biggest celebrities and talents No matter your reason for visiting, IHG has excellent Los Angeles hotels not far from the city’s best local attractions.

Things to See

One of L.A.’s most popular activities is a guided bus tour, which takes groups through Hollywood and Beverly Hills, giving glimpses of the city's major attractions and your favorite stars' homes. A tour of Universal Studios in Hollywood is a must for movie buffs. Combining a functioning movie studio and amusement park, it has fun rides for the entire family, including Jurassic Park, Transformers 3-D and Despicable Me Minion Mayhem rides. For the grown-ups, The Getty Center has thousands of paintings by iconic artists like Van Gogh and Monet, as well as beautiful sculptures and antiquities.

Hotels in Los Angeles

If you plan to spend a lot of time shopping, dining and relaxing on the beach, consider Santa Monica, located on L.A.’s western edge with easy access to Santa Monica and Venice beaches, and the popular Third Street Promenade restaurants and shops. Beverly Hills and West Hollywood also have plenty of luxury hotels if you wish to experience the glitz and glamor of the Los Angeles lifestyle.

Where to Stay

The world-famous Strip, still the most popular place to enjoy the never-ending excitement of Los Angeles, has hotels that cater to all. While some enjoy being in the middle of the action, those who prefer a low-key experience can find even more hotels just a few blocks from the Strip many of which offer a more affordable price and level of luxury. Consider downtown L.A. if you want to stay within the city limits without spending a fortune. Along with bustling nightlife and shopping, downtown is home to Staples Center, where you can catch a Lakers game or concert, ,and a multi-cultural culinary offerings perfect for serious foodies, such as sushi in Little Tokyo and Mexican taquerias on Olvera Street. L.A.’s public transportation system is limited, and traffic can be quite agitating for first-time visitors. By finding a hotel in an L.A. area or neighborhood convenient to your trip highlights, you'll dramatically cut down on any potential loss of time caused by gridlock.

Not the old Holiday Inns
By Oldtex
Room was clean but rather shabby by old Holiday Inn standards. Was told hotel was up for renovation. Pillows were blobs of mush. Bed linens were worn but did smell like they'd been washed with [More] bleach. TV cut out frequently and then stuck on weird buzzing noise - all channels. Had to turn off so couldn't get weather at destination. Remote didn't work had to turn off/on by hand. Privacy sheers flapped open when A/C fan turned on...maybe put the track for the privacy sheers inside the window box. Staff was quite courteous - in breakfast area as well as front desk. Food was fresh and ample. Useful printer/copier in business area. Something to check weight of luggage might be nice touch, since airlines are getting so "picky".. [Less]
Great sleep
By Trina
We had a layover in Los Angelas while coming back from Haeaii The time change had us exhausted. We had not planned on getting a room. We called this Holiday Inn and the shuttle picked us up in less [More] than 10 min we were checked in and in bed in another 10 min They gave us a wake up call and got us back to the airport efficiently. I've never been so thankful for prompt service and a comfortable bed. Thanks Holiday Inn Express LAX [Less]
Service impeccable
By Businessman
The service professionals were on point and eager to please. Parking needs a little bit of help, but overall not bad!!! [Less]
Awesome central location for LA, great Disney Services
By Navy Moroni
The hotel staff was extremely friendly. A fire alarm test occurred during the week of our stay. Staff was amazing to inform everyone properly of the fire alarm. All fire inspectors were very friendly [More] to my children and seemed to enjoy the attention they were receiving. Breakfast staff was amazing. We did the Buffet style every morning! Great deal and awesome variety of food. Something for everyone. Staff was prompt to assist. With so much traffic in the summer there was a lot going on. Staff was "on point" to delivery prompt service at every moment. They helped round up carts for our baggage when we could not find any upon our arrival, they provided extra towels when asked, and maint addressed an AC concern in our room. A tech was called and AC was restored w/in the hour. Myself, wife and kids were all so happy. I was almost go so far as to say this hotel is an 'extension' to Disneyland. Staff was so kid friendly and seemed to appreciate questions from customers and inquiries from little children. Busses ran constantly. We had a great view of the evening fireworks from our room! Thank you! I will come back to this location in the future! [Less]

Great Experience
By tke86
Although the hotel was undergoing major renovation to the top three floors of the facility, my experience was excellent. I was greeted warmly upon arrival and offered an upgraded junior suite [More] (probably due to the construction) and told of possible noise in the morning. I was teaching a class in one of the conference rooms the following day and the room was perfectly set up when I arrived and the staff was incredibly attentive all day. My experience with this Holiday Inn couldn't have gone any smoother. [Less]
Friendly staff

Upon our arrival the staff informed us that the hotel was under going renovation and apologized for any inconvenience. The front desk staff was very professional and friendly. [Less]
Good place to spend the night
By Perlas0609
The hotel is on top of the hill overlooking the freeway. It was undergoing some kind of renovation and some floors are closed. The front desk clerk was cheerful and efficient. The place was clean [More] and quiet and you wouldn't know that there's some work going on. The room was clean and spacious but I think it could use some modernization. There was the usual coffeemaker and a small refrigerator. The hotel also provided free Wi-Fi and also an in-house diner/grill There's several restaurants very near the hotel. I wouldn't mind going back once the work is done. I'm sure that the hotel will be one of the best in Diamond Bar [Less]
