Featured Los Angeles Hotels

With its year-round moderate temperature, nearby beaches, star-studded nightlife, sizzling culinary scene and wealth of world-famous tourist attractions, Los Angeles is one of the world’s greatest and most famous destinations. This sprawling city covers 467 square miles and is home to approximately 140 nationalities of people speaking 224 different languages, making it one of the most diverse cities in the world. It is also the birthplace of the world's movie industry and home to many of the big screen’s biggest celebrities and talents No matter your reason for visiting, IHG has excellent Los Angeles hotels not far from the city’s best local attractions.

Things to See

One of L.A.’s most popular activities is a guided bus tour, which takes groups through Hollywood and Beverly Hills, giving glimpses of the city's major attractions and your favorite stars' homes. A tour of Universal Studios in Hollywood is a must for movie buffs. Combining a functioning movie studio and amusement park, it has fun rides for the entire family, including Jurassic Park, Transformers 3-D and Despicable Me Minion Mayhem rides. For the grown-ups, The Getty Center has thousands of paintings by iconic artists like Van Gogh and Monet, as well as beautiful sculptures and antiquities.

Hotels in Los Angeles

If you plan to spend a lot of time shopping, dining and relaxing on the beach, consider Santa Monica, located on L.A.’s western edge with easy access to Santa Monica and Venice beaches, and the popular Third Street Promenade restaurants and shops. Beverly Hills and West Hollywood also have plenty of luxury hotels if you wish to experience the glitz and glamor of the Los Angeles lifestyle.

Where to Stay

The world-famous Strip, still the most popular place to enjoy the never-ending excitement of Los Angeles, has hotels that cater to all. While some enjoy being in the middle of the action, those who prefer a low-key experience can find even more hotels just a few blocks from the Strip many of which offer a more affordable price and level of luxury. Consider downtown L.A. if you want to stay within the city limits without spending a fortune. Along with bustling nightlife and shopping, downtown is home to Staples Center, where you can catch a Lakers game or concert, ,and a multi-cultural culinary offerings perfect for serious foodies, such as sushi in Little Tokyo and Mexican taquerias on Olvera Street. L.A.’s public transportation system is limited, and traffic can be quite agitating for first-time visitors. By finding a hotel in an L.A. area or neighborhood convenient to your trip highlights, you'll dramatically cut down on any potential loss of time caused by gridlock.

By nayakik

Great accomodation in Anaheim
By rendra_k
If you are planning to visit Anaheim, this hotel is a preferred choice as quite close to Disneyland area, with affordable cost. The shuttle service was excellent either for drop off in morning time [More] or pick up in the evening time. The surround location is many restaurants which quite convenient to choose. [Less]
Nice Hotel Near Knotts
By Nels4x4
Comfortable Room, Great staff - nice pool! The hotel staff was very courteous and accommodating. The kids loved the pool. The landscaping around the pool was very nice. The shuttle driver was [More] always on time to pick us up and drop us off at our destination. I've stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 times now and have enjoyed the stay every time. [Less]
Cost effective and friendly staff
By REIJR
The hotel is located within six miles from the Disneyland Resort and ART shuttle service is accessible every hour from the doorstep of the Holiday Inn, which is located right next store. Purchase an [More] all day pass from the Holiday Inn front desk as it is cheaper than paying on the bus. The hotel rooms are spacious and include a kitchenette and sitting area if your traveling with a family. My only complaint was the old and stained carpet, which certainly showed its age. Nothing a pair of socks or slippers can handle. Overall a great value hotel with friendly front desk staff. [Less]
Great home away from home
By Anonymous702
I enjoyed my stay at Candlewood Suites and was surprised at how comfortable I immediately felt there. It really was a home away from home (even if just for one day). The only things I would suggest [More] improvement on is the aroma of the suite -- smelled very strongly of cleaning products or possibly carpet cleaner (however, I would tolerate the smell of carpet cleaner over dirty carpet any day) and also the bathtub drained very poorly. But everything else was fantastic! [Less]
TOWELS
By SEBASH
We totally understand and agree about keeping cost down and rooms do not get cleaned everyday. That was not a problem at all! That's a great way to keep cost down. Just a little input for [More] convenience: It would be convenient to have extra towels and toilet paper left in room. We didn't mind going to front desk, but some nights it was late at night when we found out we running low on toilet paper. I love the clean, updated room and counter spaces in bathroom and kitchen area. It made it much easier finding out things. I highly recommend Candlewood for eating home cook meals while on travel. Thank you! [Less]

Great Value in a Rough Neighborhood
By jyonash
We had a nice stay at this Holiday Inn Express. We needed to be in the downtown area for an event at the LA Convention Center. The hotels in this area can be VERY pricey and this was the best value [More] and had a shuttle to the convention center. The area this hotel is in is ROUGH...dirty...lots of homeless, etc. We did venture out and use the Metro and city buses due to the high cost of taxis. We did not have any issues, but were very careful. The desk staff at this hotel were AMAZING! Friendly and went out of their way to help us with directions and ideas of the best way to get places. Sylvia was especially helpful and kind. I would say the desk staff was some of the best I have ever encountered. Our room could have been cleaner. The toilet seemed to leak a little at the base. It wasn't horrible, but I have had better in similar hotels. Breakfast was great and saved us a lot of money! Overall this place worked and was a great price compared to the other places in the area.
