Featured Los Angeles Hotels

With its year-round moderate temperature, nearby beaches, star-studded nightlife, sizzling culinary scene and wealth of world-famous tourist attractions, Los Angeles is one of the world’s greatest and most famous destinations. This sprawling city covers 467 square miles and is home to approximately 140 nationalities of people speaking 224 different languages, making it one of the most diverse cities in the world. It is also the birthplace of the world's movie industry and home to many of the big screen’s biggest celebrities and talents No matter your reason for visiting, IHG has excellent Los Angeles hotels not far from the city’s best local attractions.

Things to See

One of L.A.’s most popular activities is a guided bus tour, which takes groups through Hollywood and Beverly Hills, giving glimpses of the city's major attractions and your favorite stars' homes. A tour of Universal Studios in Hollywood is a must for movie buffs. Combining a functioning movie studio and amusement park, it has fun rides for the entire family, including Jurassic Park, Transformers 3-D and Despicable Me Minion Mayhem rides. For the grown-ups, The Getty Center has thousands of paintings by iconic artists like Van Gogh and Monet, as well as beautiful sculptures and antiquities.

Hotels in Los Angeles

If you plan to spend a lot of time shopping, dining and relaxing on the beach, consider Santa Monica, located on L.A.’s western edge with easy access to Santa Monica and Venice beaches, and the popular Third Street Promenade restaurants and shops. Beverly Hills and West Hollywood also have plenty of luxury hotels if you wish to experience the glitz and glamor of the Los Angeles lifestyle.

Where to Stay

The world-famous Strip, still the most popular place to enjoy the never-ending excitement of Los Angeles, has hotels that cater to all. While some enjoy being in the middle of the action, those who prefer a low-key experience can find even more hotels just a few blocks from the Strip many of which offer a more affordable price and level of luxury. Consider downtown L.A. if you want to stay within the city limits without spending a fortune. Along with bustling nightlife and shopping, downtown is home to Staples Center, where you can catch a Lakers game or concert, ,and a multi-cultural culinary offerings perfect for serious foodies, such as sushi in Little Tokyo and Mexican taquerias on Olvera Street. L.A.’s public transportation system is limited, and traffic can be quite agitating for first-time visitors. By finding a hotel in an L.A. area or neighborhood convenient to your trip highlights, you'll dramatically cut down on any potential loss of time caused by gridlock.

Comfortable bed and great service

Would have liked more elevators , but overall a comfortable stay and within easy walking distance to Disneyland. [Less]
Not enough parking and extra charges on CC
By TheOldGuy
Upon returning late to hotel after day in Disneyland, there were no general parking spaces to be had. All loading zones, hashed spaces and red zones were full of cars. The only exceptions were two [More] spaces for handicapped and eventhough we had no current placard, we told to park in one of them. When we arrived home we found an additional charge from the hotel that we still haven't been able to find out what it was for. As a Platinum Elite Rewards member, I have been awarded extra points, various amenities or services at other IHG properties. Here I didn't even get acknowledged as being a member of the rewards program. [Less]

Convenient location for Norwalk, La Mirada, Buena Park, Cerritos
By ncovelo
I stayed here for 3 nights. The staff at check in were very accommodating and nice.If you want a refrigerator and microwave in your room, you have to request it. The rooms do not come with them, but [More] they will put one in there if there are some available. If you want a quieter room, request one on the even side or not facing the 5 freeway. My room faced the freeway, but I just slept with earplugs and that was fine. The hotel is in a convenient location for area amusement parks and local attractions. The breakfast is not free, you have to pay for it. There is no room for a big group to eat like a dinner brought in from the outside. There are plenty of eateries within 5-15 minutes by car. The staff was also accommodating at check out. I requested a late check out at 2 pm, and was able to do that. Overall, the hotel stay here meet my expectations. [Less]
Renovations
By Terri2017
the La Mirada HI was one of the oldest HI I have stayed at within the past year (room interior). I strongly recommend completing the upgrades asap if you continue to charge the full price. The room [More] was not worth the price at this location. [Less]
