Get much-needed rest for exploration within a conveniently-located IHG® Minneapolis, Minnesota hotel. Book today and start planning to discover all Minneapolis has to offer.

Things to See

While you may want to join the 40 million people that visit Minnesota’s famous Mall of America per year, you’ll have to step out of the box to get a true taste of Minneapolis. For those interested in contemporary art, the Walker Art Center (the upper Midwest’s first public art gallery) and the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden offer a feast for the eyes. Looking for an actual feast? Dig into a Korean BBQ pizza at Pizzeria Lola, or indulge in all the meat dishes your heart desires at Butcher & The Boar. Once you’re all fueled up, visit some of Minneapolis’ most notable attractions, including plays at the Fitzgerald Theater or Guthrie Theatre on the banks of the Mississippi River, and concerts, walks, and bike rides at Minnehaha Falls Park. Spend an afternoon on Grand Avenue in Saint Paul to bask in culture by taking in local restaurants and shops or transport yourself to the tropics at the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory.

Hotels in Minneapolis

From areas in downtown or close to the mall, to surrounding cities like Roseville, Shakopee, Rogers, and St. Paul, IHG hotels span widely around the Minneapolis area, offering travelling a wide range to choose from for maximum comfort and convenience. With this type of variety, you can choose a hotel closest to the priority spots on your list that you wish to visit.

Where to Stay

If you’re travelling for work, downtown Minneapolis is likely the most convenient place to stay to get to meetings while staying close to museums, restaurants, and sports or concert venues. If you’re interested in nightlife, downtown and uptown both offer active bars and clubs. Staying in Bloomington (south of downtown Minneapolis) or Eagan (southwest of Bloomington) offers close proximity to the Mall of America. Checking out the University of Minnesota? Roseville is your best bet to get close to the college and visit student hot spots.

How to Get to Minneapolis

Fly in at the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP), made up of two terminals. Trains from the airport to go downtown, providing easy access to your destination. You can also choose Amtrak or Northstar Line trains to get around the city and neighboring suburbs, or hail a cab. Minneapolis’ four designated quadrants, grid system, and multi-colored street signs make getting around town quite easy. Since Minneapolis gets quite cold in the winter and like any city, rains from time to time, the city’s enclosed walkways downtown and widespread bus and light-rail networks are appreciated and commonly used.

New HIE in Eagan

Food needs to be upgraded to match this newer hotel and style. Same HIE breakfast food needs a face lift [Less]
New hotel with wonderful, modern rooms!
By tamistravels
When booking, I didn't realize how new this hotel is. I caught a faint whiff of fresh paint when in the hallways, but I mention this not because it was a problem. It is simply a testament to the [More] newness and cleanliness. I loved the clean, modern approach to the guest room. I especially appreciated that there was a small entryway-like part of the room. Instead of the typical bathroom and small sliding-door closet when entering the room, there was a small shelf for placing keys, etc. and a Keurig station. Loved the design, and there was a chaise lounge with a floor lamp for relaxing! Convenient location, right next to a gas station. Easy access to major highways and in a safe area. GREAT value! [Less]
Beautiful hotel
Very nice hotel but would not book it for a wedding event . Communication between employees is very poor, there seemed to be only one person who knew what was going on, so frustrating! [Less]

Overall the stay was a good experience as it was recommended by a family member and the only drawback was the shower as the water leaked out unto the floor as there is only a partial wall [Less]
