Monterrey Travel Guide
Monterrey Travel Guide
Choose our Monterrey hotels to experience the eclectic mix of modern, colonial and industrial influences that shaped Mexico's third-largest city. Wander the centuries-old Barrio Antiguo (Old Town) or explore the modern wonders of Fundidora Park, where former industrial buildings have been transformed into futuristic works of art.
Our hotels in Monterrey, Mexico, are framed by the majestic Sierre Madre Oriental mountains, where you can tramp high-desert trails and gaze down upon this striking city. Back in town, wander the Macroplaza, the world's second-largest plaza, festooned with colonial and modern sculpture and thronged with pedestrians. The 350-acre Fundidora Park reveals unexpected perspectives on industrial architecture in an urban park setting, and the Museum of Mexican History offers a thrilling overview of the city's history, which dates back to the Mayans. Fronting the museum is Paseo Santa Lucia, a manmade canal rimmed by greenways that is romantically lit at night. Take in the sprawl of the city from the scenic lookout at Bishopric Hill.
With its cobblestone streets and wrought-iron accents, Barrio Antiguo evokes colonial Mexico. Here you'll find restaurants specializing in cabrito (kid goat) slow-cooked over a smoldering fire. Our hotels in Monterrey put you close to Monterrey's nightlife, where clubs pulse with the latest Mexican rock and traditional Norteño music spills out of cafes. For a more tranquil evening, our hotels in Monterrey are close to Café Iguana, a favorite destination for locals seeking relaxed conversation. Shopping is a breeze from our Monterrey hotels. Adjacent to the Macroplaza, six blocks of the Zona Rosa are dedicated to pedestrian shopping. Look for authentic leather goods like cowboy boots.
Book a room at one of our Holiday Inn® Monterrey hotels in May, when the city celebrates Cinco de Mayo, or in August for cutting-edge independent cinema at the Monterrey International Film Festival.

Great service by all staff especially restaurant staff.

The chefs, servers and waiters we're all above and beyond with their service. We felt like family and felt at home. We even made close friends with some the waitresses and waiters. They offered us to[More] go get something from the buffet for us so that we didn't have to get up. I had never seen that type of service at a restaurant buffet in the USA nor México. Excellent service, I should actually say superb service. I highly recommend Crown Plaza Monterrey and Crown Plaza Torreón since I have stayed at both and are excellent with customer service.[Less]
