Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible dinner service The room was wonderfully comfortable. Loved the pillows. Enjoyed the pool! Arrived in the evening & decided to have dinner at the Baron's restaurant. The service was terrible and the food only fair. The food took a very long time to be served then we never saw our waitress again. We would have had dessert but we actually went up to the hostess to get our check as we left the restaurant. However, the service at breakfast was wonderful and the buffet had good standard breakfast fare. The children ate well and were entertained by breakfast staff. April 23, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Pet friendly room not cat-friendly We arrived at 5:45 p.m. and was told the room was 'ready'. By 5:45???? No toilet paper, no shampoo, and I mean ZERO. Luckily the maid was down the hall. When we went to make coffee, there was only 1 cup. Carpet was FILTHY. Disgusting, and we've been going to and loving Holiday Inns for half a century. Beds appeared to have wood underneath to the floor. We were over the moon, thinking we'd now be able to let the cats roam without blocking the undersides. Within 5 minutes they were under the mattress! Apparantly there was a space BETWEEN the mattress and the wood that wasn't visible. Luckily we were able to entice them out as they are not particularly fearful animals but we had to lock them in the bathroom all night as we were afraid we couldn't get them out in the morning and we planned on an early departure.I asked the maid for sheets or blankets to block the opening and she said she'd have to check with her supervisor. That was the last I heard from any staff. We just gave up and left them in the bathroom. I'd NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN with pets. A plain wood or even linoleum floor that was clean should be for pet-friendly rooms. I was afraid to walk on the carpet barefooted. On the plus side the breakfast buffet was a nice surprise and was quite good and check in and out was easy. April 23, 2015
