Admission is free on Thursdays at the centrally located Museum of Mexican History, built on the site where the city was founded in the 16th century. After you leave the museum, take in the panoramic views of the city below from the scenic overlook.
From our hotels in Monterrey, you can walk or take a taxi to Barrio Antiguo (Old Town), rich with colonial atmosphere and packed with affordable eateries specializing in grilled cabrito (kid goat). Explore the cobblestone streets of the old town, where street vendors dish out savory tacos and late-night clubs serve locally brewed beer. At night, step out from one of our Monterrey hotels to stroll the lighted greenways along Paseo Santa Lucia, a manmade canal.

EXCELLENT HOTEL TO STAY AT WHILE IN MONTERRY, ESPECIALLY IF ATTENDING AN EVENT OR EXPO AT CINTERMEX. THE BRIDGE THAT CONNECTS THE HOTEL WITH CINTERMEX IS EXCELLENT.[Less]
The hotel is within the Fundidora Parque, which is very pleasant and worth strolling through. Staff are friendly and professional. The only downside was the small bar area, which at times became very[More] busy, other than this a very good stay.[Less]

Not only was everybody helpful but when in the restaurant I expressed the salsa was too hot for me, the maître d had the chef mix some hot with some pasta sauce that was just right and quite[More] delicious. And they did that for each time I had dinner at the restaurant from 5/9 thru 5/21. I left the hotel feeling I had made new friends from the front desk to the waiters, cooks and maître ds. And of course they all helped me with my Spanish.[Less]
