Hands down, this InterContinental was the best of the three we enjoyed on our recent trip. The rooms are the largest by far; the air-conditioning system and the comfort in the suites are terrific. The views from the bungalows can't be beat. The free and available activities are a wonderful addition. We would love to be able to return.

I don't think it can get any better then here - the arrival from the airport by private boat says it all, some 80 spacious bungalows located in a turquoise lagoon do not promise too much ...
The whole resort is spacious and features everything you need, and more. Three great restaurants, a bar, a great lounge located at the beach (where I actually proposed to my then girlfriend), a spa, shopping possibilities, a wedding chapel, a fitness center, outdoor activities and much moor you need for your perfect vacation. I have to admit, I could not have afforded our seven night stay if it would not have been a combination of a regular stay added with reward nights, but every Euro spent was just worth it.
The staff is friendly as well, especially the receptionist (unfortunately I have forgotten her name) was amazing, not only greeting us per name every time, she really did everything to make us feel comfortable.
Cant wait to come back :-)

None, I do not want to write a review. The room was great, the food was lacking. Drinks too expensive.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by swimmer777 Beautiful Resort, lacks staff communication
The resort is gorgeous and peaceful. Unfortunately, we had a roach problem in our room that was not addressed by staff even after requests. We ended up leaving a day early because we didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the room.
The dinners, while overpriced, were delicious. The 'snack menu' is horrendous in quality and ridiculously priced as such, especially the pizza. The breakfast buffet is adequate and more or less the same as all of the other resorts on several islands. There's at least something for everyone.
The restaurant and concierge staff are extremely friendly and willing to go the extra mile for guests. The resort offers many activities at no additional cost and the equipment is in good condition. The water at the resorts on the motu is much better than the beaches of the main island.
While flawed, it's a peaceful, beautiful resort that can be taken to a true 5 star status with a few easy fixes.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bora-Bora First Timer Great location, but don't expect to be pampered!
Great location and beautiful room, but food selection and service is very poor. Don't order room service if you want to enjoy a meal with out attendant making several trips to get order correct. i.e. meals delivered to wrong room, with out silverware. Spa services also very limited very very expensive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bora Bora. Highly recommend the overwater bungalows. We enjoyed two spectacular snorkeling trips with Pure Snorkeling by Reef Discovery. The staff was friendly and warm. Dinners were made more special with the attentions of Antoine, the sommelier, and his wife Heitiare. Breakfast and lunch we were well-served by Stephane and his wife Nicole.
