Must See

Must See

You can see many works by local artist David Hockney, who was born in Bradford, at Salts Mill in Saltaire, 25 minutes' drive from the hotel. Pick up art, antiques and handicrafts at the shops in the huge former industrial building and enjoy a coffee or lunch on site. Afterwards, take a stroll to admire the buildings of the purpose-built 19th-century village, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Must Do

Must Do

You can shop for bargains in the international chains and high-street stores of the White Rose Shopping Centre, 15 minutes' drive from the hotel. If you have the family in tow, try nearby Trinity Leeds, where non-shoppers can enjoy a movie. The designer stores in Leeds' Victoria Quarter arcades include a branch of Harvey Nichols, and there are cafés where you can take a break.
Don't Go Home Without

Don't Go Home Without

The hotel is a great base if you want to explore Brontë Country. You can see where the sisters wrote their literary classics at their former home in Haworth, now the Brontë Parsonage Museum, only 15 miles from the hotel. Reward the kids for their patience with a ride on a steam train from Haworth station - the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway runs trips at weekends and during the week in summer.
Tips

Tips

Bradford has been named 'Curry Capital of Britain' many times. You can enjoy a piquant curry or refreshing lassi at more than 200 restaurants, from fine-dining institutions to cosy, family-run cafes, all over the city. Check out the Bradford Curry Guide on the Visit Bradford website to take your pick. Some places don't serve alcohol, so if you like a beer with your dinner, check before you visit.
