Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Near Mandela Square and Sandton City Mall Stayed here for 2 nights following day trips to Pilanesberg National Park and Sun City. First room given was not the requested bedding but were able to get correct room after checking with reception again. Hotel breakfast buffet was very good and excellent variety. Priority Club lounge needed to restock their food offerings as both times we went in all food/snacks were already gone. Sandton Mall and Mandela Square is short walk away but I believe they have shuttle that would drop you there. Overall nice stay November 14, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Missing booking and noise Over the last few years the Holiday Inn has typically been my hotel of choice in Jhb and the UK . I have stayed at the Sandton HI a few times over the past two years , normally after functions , as although I keep an apartment in Johannesburg during the week , it is often easier to stay with you. As a rule I have been very complimentary about the HI on social media so I don't normally complain My last stay was a mess , although Selby was fantastic when checking me at midnight. My reservation was not on the system and I ended up in a single bed facing the construction site , which was contrary to my " request" in the booking. After a late night being woken to the sound of sound of construction was not what I had in mind when booking. Attached file for your listening pleasure . Btw typically hotels inform you when booking that there is heavy construction next door, surely you should advise patrons ? On top of this the desk chair was broken, the basin mixer was about to come out and only one button in the flush system worked . I then received a call from guest relations that left me flummoxed . Why phone me to tell me you knew about my problem and then............. ? October 28, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel let down by Staff Fairly good Location, uncomfortable walk from Gautrain station, the hotel does offer a shuttle only once per hour at the top of every hour.. I requested early checkin but the front of house staff failed to communicate this and it didnt happen The hotel only has single beds, do not fall into the trap of thinking you'll get two double beds.. they're not available. There is no iron or ironing board in the room, but is available on request, please note they can take up to 30 mins to deliver this simple item. - should be standard in a business hotel! Other than the above issues.. there is construction happening next to the hotel and it does make a bit of noise... this includes weekends There is a 40" screen in the room, HDMI and USB ports are not accessible, so no google chromecast or amazon firestick joy there.
