The staff members were helpful in every way! No toothbrushes, no problem! they provided toiletries that we had forgotten to pack. The hotel had free bike rentals which we took advantage of... We were also given a map and great tips on where to explore!

This location is excellent for hitting the bars along State Street on a Friday or Saturday night. Everything (restaurants, bars, beach) is within walking distance!

We're glad we stayed at this location this time. We were right next to State Street center and had easy access to various shops and restaurants. It was a short walk to the beach but we used the trolley back. I wasn't sure about this place at first because it's an older hotel but they have done a good job at keeping the historical building in good condition. The room was simple but very clean. They were just updating lamps that had additional outlets which I loved since we had 3 phones and a tablet to plug in at night. Some comments stated they could hear outside noise. I stayed in a back room overlooking the back parking lot. I didn't hear outside noise. I did hear the floor creaking a couple of times from the room above our room. But I feel I was trying to hear the noise due to the comments and would have not heard the creaking if I wasn't listening for it. So I'll be back here again for sure. Price as great too.

Hotel is dog friendly.
It is a refurbished hotel originally built in 1916 so it is different than the usual Holiday Inn Express that I've stayed in.
Most everything was great. The parking is limited, but we were lucky and got street parking right in front of the hotel.

We arrived early and had to wait until 3 for a room. The hotel was supposed to send me a text when the room was ready, never got one. When I checked in I was told I would have to pay 14.00 a night for parking instead of the 12.00 I was quoted, I showed a receipt and they just shrugged it off. The mattress was very broken down in the middle. The maid was very nice and always said hello. The hotel is an old converted hotel from 1916. It was quiet, but then I had a room away from the railroad tracks. There is a homeless problem here, and can be scary at night. It is close to beach and a very nice area for the homeless to live around. The breakfast buffet featured watery eggs and grey sausage. Eggs appeared to be powdered and when I saw a tray of scrambled eggs in a microwave waiting to be placed on the buffet line, I again figured powdered eggs. The bagel was good. One day they had the eggs shaped like omelets and had Velveeta cheese in the middle.
