This hotel is undergoing construction and should not be open. ACs don’t work, phones don’t work, safes aren’t connected to the walls, the place is very dirty and very noisy. It is not worth any amount of money to stay here. We cut our trip short just do we could leave the hotel.
That being said, the staff were understanding and helpful.

The hotel is in a great location in Midtown with a variety of dining. We booked for one night only. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The room, however, put a damper on our night. Upon entering the room there was a smell like old dirty socks which we attributed to the hvac system but even with the system off the smell did not go away. The room was overwhelmingly hot, we adjusted the thermostat thinking it would cool the room but after about an hour it just became stuffy and uncomfortable. The front desk advised that they only run heat during the winter months and sent someone to open the windows. It alleviated some of the stuffiness but with temps in the 30s it quickly became cold. Needless to say that it was a game of being too hot or too cold and just got worse while trying to sleep given the outside noise when the windows were open. No sleep was had. The bathroom smelled like mildew but was fairly clean otherwise. There was no steamer, iron or ironing board. Housekeeping did provide an iron but no ironing board and the steamer they provided had a European plug. Note: the room doors are heavy and they don’t have a slow close mechanism which makes them slam super fast and loud. Beware if you have younger kids. Be prepared to listen to slamming doors during the night. Also, the hotel is going through renovations so some of these things may have contributed to our experience. All in all, if you’re looking for a location near Times Square with access to dining, entertainment, and shopping this place works for shorter stays.

I love visiting New York and the stay as well… They are doing some remodeling to the hotel and I stayed in one of the remodel rooms. I had a problem with my heat not working and I complained and they said that they turned off the heat because it was warm outside. The nice lady at the front desk did call and tried to get me some help several times and she asked them to bring us some blankets. At one point the heat start working but went out again. For one the batteries was dead to control the heat. That Friday night the water was not hot for us to take a shower comfortably.That Saturday morning the water was very hot and that Saturday night the water was lukewarm. That Sunday morning before we caught our flight the water was lukewarm again.

Well the location of the hotel is good but the room comfort is lacking. You cannot control the temperature of the room except by opening a window a little. Each night you were either freezing or too hot. The water pressure in the shower felt like you were being peed on. The sink faucet was falling over and needed fixed. All of which I spoke to the staff multiple times and nothing was fixed.

The staff was great, but the Hotel not so. The temperature in the room was hot and the only way to fix it, according to staff was to open the windows, there is no AC only heat. No fridge and no safe in the room. Breakfast was a go bag. They tried to change my room and sent me to a room that was being renovated.

The hotel is in the most amazing position. The hotel room was dated but undergoing a renovation. It was clean and spacious (not that common for Times Square). Staff were beautiful, friendly and helpful. My son broke his leg prior to arrival and was in a wheel chair for the trip and they were all so accommodating and helpful. It was definately worth the money spent and all I could want in NY.
The worst IHG hotel I had ever stayed

I rarely write reviews, especially bad reviews, but I must share my unpleasant experience here. This is the worst IHG hotel I had ever stayed.
First of all, they didn’t recognize me as an IHG member, and when I asked for late check out (as a benefit of Gold Elite), they said they can only allow me to checkout at 1pm, saying the hotel is fully booked. But I saw there were so many guests checkout later than me.
Second, they didn’t provide sufficient towers in the room, and no hand towers at all.
Third, they said they have construction activity in the building, but the construction started from 7:00am?! As an IHG Gold Elite, they gave me a room just next to and under the construction area and they were hammering and nailing something on the wall from 7:00am
I didn’t get enough rest during my stay.
It cost me around $430 per night during the new year 4-days stay, no mini fridge, no tea kettle, and I can’t even ask 1 more bottle of water for that ridiculous breakfast bag, it’s not worthy at all!
Do not stay here!
It’s a shame of IHG group, you should exclude this hotel.
Remodeling mess!

The location of this property was its saving grace. The staff was friendly. Everything else from their was a disappointment. Tried to attach photos, system wouldn't let me.
Pealing paint and wallpaper on walls. Bathroom walls and ceiling cracked and water damaged. Sprinkler head covered in dust. Wall outlet covers not sized right with exposed wholes. Advertiesed with city veiw, it was a roof courtyard. The room, elevators and hallways show the need for renovations.

This is an addition to my review. After trying to file a complaint I was offered 10,000 points. At the time I didn't think about it because I told the lady I'm not calling to try and get some extra points. Now that I actually think about her offer I am extremely offended. The Manhattan hotel tried to kick my son out on his butt during Christmas because of THEIR mistake and to make it up they off 10,000 points. That can't even get me a bottle of water. Thank you for showing me how much you care about your guests.
The worst customer service

So I booked a stay for my son first for December 25th-27th and then called back to add an extra night. Right here I should have seen the warning sign because when I had the extra night put on they made it into a separate reservation instead of just adding a night to original. When my son checks in he informs the front desk that he will be using a different card to check in and pay for the stay and not the card that the reservation was booked with. He is told that is fine and that for now they would check him in for the original 2 night stay and then he would have to come down after thev2 nights to re check in for the 3rd night. My son says ok. At 8:00am ( So before check out or check in) the morning my son is to come down and re check in he is told his reservation was canceled and he had to check out. The reason was they went ahead and charged the card he told them not to before he even came down to re check in and that card didn't go thru so they canceled. The manager was very rude and turn around and walk away from my son twice when he was in the middle of talking and asking questions. I know this because I was on video call. When my son told the manager that he was to come down and re check in with the card he originally checked in with so why did they just charge a different card and why wasn't my son informed and the manager told him they did not have to inform the guests. He again was rude and dismissive to my son. It took us over 3 hours to get this fixed. My son finally was able to speak to another manager that I can get his and he was very helpful and had my sons reservation reinstated because that was another thing the first manager told my son was that even if he wanted to fix it he couldn't because the room was already booked for someone else. This was my sons first trip to New York and this was the horrible service he received. I traveled for over 10 years using exclusively IHG Hotels and you can check my account. I have been nothing but loyal and for my son or anyone to receive this treatment is shameful
