Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable beds but customer service lacks The front desk staff were very friendly, greeting you every time you walked by. However the cleaning staff could not speak english which made it difficult when you were trying to speak to them. Most of them would nod and just walk away. The staff that worked the breakfast were the the rudest of all. My husband and I would be there for breakfast in the first half hour it was open and the food was not hot. I brought my daughter down one morning a 15 minutes before breakfast was to be finished and when she asked for a plate as there were none, she was told there are bowls there and that is good enough because she was closing the breakfast up in 10 min. We were there for three nights and all three morning we would watch the breakfast be removed 10 minutes before the breakfast time was done even though there was a clock right there on the wall. There was even if there was line of people waiting to get breakfast. They did not keep any products stocked even if you were there at 7am. The food quality is mediocre at best, service was terrible and they had a large tip bowl in the middle of the breakfast table. December 4, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not recommended The beds were worn out and soft in the center so we rolled to the middle making for a poor nights sleep. There were problems with the hot water - cold when we arrived in the evening and barely lukewarm at 6 AM in the morning. The room carpet needed cleaning etc. I have stayed in many Holiday Inn Express hotels in the past and have always had good experiences so I will chalk this stay up to bad luck. I'm sure the hot water problem was rectified later in the day and I trust the manager will check out the bed complaint and replace the mattresses. The breakfast was good - up to standard - but there were junior hockey teams staying as well and the staff was more interested in closing on time than accommodating the crowd. December 2, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room but dirty common areas Upon arrival we were giving a room and when we entered it had not been cleaned. We found an unmade bed and leftover food, etc. It was quickly cleaned and seemed nice. Our first night the fire alarm was pulled at 11:15pm. While this was not the fault of the hotel, the extremely upsetting part was the fire alarm continued going off intermittently until 12:15am. We were told by staff that they were having trouble re-setting it. This was totally unacceptable. They kept hundreds of people awake until the morning hours. While the room seemed nice, the hotel was very dirty. Upon entering the main lobby, it looked like the hotel had not been vacuumed in a long time. The hotel elevator was worse and was never cleaned in the two nights we were there. Upon getting up to the third floor we saw crumbs and food all over the carpet. It appeared as though this hotel does not use vacuum cleaners. While the room was nice and comfortable, the common areas were truly filthy. Also, when we went to use the pool we had to ask for towels. The dirty towels were all over and no new ones had been put out. December 1, 2014
