This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The rooms were spotless and phenomenal. The staff went above and beyond and were extremely nice. They made an effort to actual ask about my day and were genuinely interested in the conversation. The breakfast is the standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast but the breakfast lady made my morning. This is truly the crown jewel in Southfield. Will definitely let my family, friends, and coworkers know to ALWAYS stay here. Also, to the managers, you guys are running a perfect operation, keep up the great work.

Pool area was moldy, smelly, and unkept. Staff was not friendly. Lights bulbs missing in rooms. Closet door busted. I was disappointed because I stay at many holiday inns and am generally pleased. This one is falling apart.

The bed was very comfortable, one of the best sleeps I have had at a hotel. Price is well worth it. The rooms are very clean and the staff and management team are awesome.

The air conditioning unit cooled the sitting area and bedroom at different temperatures. We called maintenance because the bedroom was hot. He reset the unit but it was only a temporary fix. The hotel was full and no other rooms were available. Room temperature at check in was 77 degrees! Breakfast area where food was could have a better design. It was crowded and difficult to access.

we were there for Detroit Dream Cruise.
the accomodations were just what we needed.
we appreciated being able to park our car trailer in the back of the hotel Sat. nite.
only problem, 2 vehicles blocked us in and the hotel front desk did not know who they belonged to. so we had to wait 2 hrs before we could leave.

I love having a hot breakfast. However, the pancake machine works maybe 1/3 of the time, and the advertised evening pancakes were not made available. I also inquired as to why the breakfast no longer includes bacon. The hostess made me some bacon but told me to keep a low profile because when they do have bacon, people take an unreasonable amount so when the hotel is full they no longer serve it. The ice machine on my floor was not working. I did report this to the front desk but it took a couple of days to address the problem and fix it. The cleaning service was lacking; one day my room was not even vacuumed, and a few days no coffee was left. I also did not have Kleenex until the last days of my stay. The staff is very friendly and the bed is very comfy.

not what I expected - room was not cleaned to my expectations, and the staff was not fully accommodating. This would not be my first choice of hotels.

The property itself was fine, and most of the room was what you would expect. However, the carpet in my room was worn and FILTHY . I wore sandals most of the time in the room, as I didn't want bare feet on the carpet. Also, the air conditioning unit was leaking. I found damp carpet under it when I closed the drapes.
