We checked in at 11.00am thanks to great staff at front desk who also provided their free shuttle to Staten Island ferry terminal. The hotel is a 30 minute drive away from the ferry terminal but the[More] drivers were on time and were friendly and efficient.
My only issue with the hotel was the noise from the other rooms, people full of their own self importance who seem to think that every other room on the 5th floor wants to hear them. Noise with doors closing seemed to reverberate throughout the other rooms making it a sleepless night with people coming and going at all hours.
The staff were what made our stay very pleasant and I would stay their again[Less]
Friendly staff. Excellent room
I was running in the New York Marathon. We stayed here to make it easier to get to the start. VERY pleased to find the hotel organised a complimentary shuttle to the start, (which left exactly on[More] schedule) They also provided a shuttle to the ferry when we left.
Sure, it took a long time to get to Manhattan on our leisure days but the ferry journey past the Statue of Liberty was delightful and gave us a chance to talk to New Yorkers.
This new hotel had all the amenities one would expect and we found every single member of staff we encountered was friendly and helpful.
We had an excellent room and both slept even better than at home![Less]

Good Staff Reliable Hotel
When staying in Manhattan instead of commuting during our company projects I often stay at indigo. Not the lowest cost hotel but convenient location that is out of the tourist trap areas of Manhattan.[Less]

In the top of New York City
I am very happy with this stay. Rooms are clean and you have your own mini bar in the room. Simple view from the room is spectacular. Staffs are excellent.[Less]
Overall a nice visit. I requested the Ny times and did not receive it the first two days. I went down to the registration desk and the woman said that I did receive it. And her only explanation was[More] that perhaps someone took it. Well, I called later that day from the room and though she said it showed that I was supposed to receive the paper she said I would begin receiving it. And I did the next three days.
One other issue, I had a problem with my credit card and a letter was put under my door requesting to bring another card downstairs. Instead I called my credit card company and resolved the issue. I then called and think I was connected to your business office. He ran my card through and said it was okay. I left the room to get coffee and I was locked out of the room. I had to go to the front desk twice to get back in the room. The first front desk person didn't notice why the key was blocked. He thought he activated the key. But it didn't work so had to go downstairs again. Spoke to another person this time and she noticed why the key was blocked. She told me that security would meet me at my door. But all this would not have happened if the business office noted my credit card was okay and not to have the key deactivated. It requires training your staff to think through the situation and not just resolve the issue at hand.[Less]
