Things to See

Anaheim is most famous for housing the original Disneyland, which opened in 1955, as well as California Adventure—a Disneyland addition that opened about 15 years ago. However, there are many other interesting activities in Anaheim to pique your interest outside of those created by Disney and other big names. Catch some Anaheim Ducks hockey (their training facility is open for public skating sessions daily!) or a LA Angels baseball game to get your sports fix, or visit Anaheim Garden Walk for shopping, movies, bowling, and dining. Anaheim’s historic district has been recently renovated to now include the Packing House, unique restaurants, shops, and a farmer’s market. To get out of the city a bit, check out the neighboring cities of Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and San Diego by train or car, or Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, boasting roller coasters and a waterpark.

Hotels in Anaheim

Whether you’re staying in directly in Anaheim or neighboring cities like Fullerton, Garden Grove, or Buena Park, IHG has cozy hotels to keep you close to your main destinations. Our hotels offer convenient amenities for your vacation, from free Wi-Fi to fully-equipped kitchens.

Where to Stay

Staying in the Anaheim Resort District keeps you close to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure as well as the Anaheim Convention Center. This area also keeps you in short driving distance from Newport, Huntington, and Laguna Beaches as well as Universal Studios Hollywood, SeaWorld, LEGOLAND, San Diego Zoo, and Six Flags Magic Mountain. For business trips, you may consider staying in the aforementioned cities surrounding Anaheim to avoid resort crowds.

How to Get to Anaheim

If flying to Anaheim, you’ll arrive at either John Wayne Airport at Santa Ana (SNA), Long Beach Airport (LGB), or the larger Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). If you don’t opt for taking a shuttle or train to your destination from the airport, travelling by car from the airport to your hotel can take between 20 minutes and an hour. Once you’re in the city, Anaheim Resort Transportation can bring you to many popular tourist destinations via shuttle, while Orange County Transit Authority offers bus service within the city and surrounding areas. Anaheim is known as a very safe place regularly patrolled by police.

Fun for just us girls
By Angey63
My friend and I stayed for 5 days and really enjoyed our stay. They upgraded our room for us just for our comfort. The staff was very friendly and obliging. The place is very clean, not much street [More] noise anywhere and the complementary breakfast and evening meals really helped us save money. They were quite good too, my favorite was the pulled pork sandwiches and salad. The pool area is large and so is the pool itself. I would definitely recommend this hotel, as a matter of fact my husband and I are headed back in 2 weeks and I cant wait. [Less]
Great place!
By mhbates
We chose this hotel for our Disneyland stay only because it was the only one that could fit 8 in one hotel room so I didn't really know what to expect. We were so happy when we arrived and it was a [More] fantastic place! The suite had 2 separate bedrooms, each with their own bathroom (AWESOME) and a kitchen with a full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and 2 cooktop burners. It also came with everything needed (dishes, pots, silverware, etc. Beds were clean and soft and I don't know where they get their pillows from but I must find out because I WANT ONE. The Mon-Wed social saved us a ton of money! My brother loved the complimentary beer and wine. Pool was beautiful and the spa was large and the temp was great! We used the ART shuttle while we were there and the covered stop was right outside our hotel and was only a 10 minute ride to Disneyland. Channel selection wasn't too great. There was about 30 channels and only 2 were kids channels. And one of the kids channels turned into adult cartoons (the tv channel calls it "adult swim" and it shows shows like Bob's Burgers and Family Guy, which I don't really want my 6 year old watching) after a certain hour. Luckily we had brought the laptop so we mainly watched Netflix. [Less]
Better than expected

We had never stayed at this brand of hotel before. We were pleased with our experience and will be staying here again. [Less]
Excellent staff and amenities.
By Macca4560
The Staybridge Suites were very close to our daughter who lives in Lake Forest so this was an ideal location. We found the staff and facilities wonderful and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Highly [More] recommended and will stay in Staybridge Apartments in the future wherever they are available. [Less]
Gracious Weekend
By Gap to Two
I've given very positive marks. My only modest critique relates to the noise level of the fan and air conditioner. I would have appreciated being able to regulate the fan level. Oh, and one other [More] modest point. I brought and used my own night light. Many inns have a night light connected to the hair dryer. Your's did not. I was glad to have my own. Being an older guy I do get up more frequently than some. It would be easy for you to add that small amenity at very little cost. Still and all we loved our stay. And with family (i.e. grandchildren) in the area we will be back many times, we hope. And to be encouraged to have them join us for breakfast is generous and most friendly. [Less]
Great stay and great price
By Tommysgirl71
Impressed as soon as we pulled up, I was concerned it may be not nice because the price was so good. I was very pleased with appearance of everything, it was very clean, quiet, and was everything [More] promised. I will stay at this chain again! [Less]
Amazing Experience
By BrittnJay
Unfortunately, I wrote out a great review on a previous part of the survey and I didn't save it. However I will make this short, but effective. The entire staff here is amazing, valet provided us [More] with a VIP-like experience and was always attentive, the suite was wonderful and always kept clean, the free breakfast was great, and overall I don't think I've ever stayed in such a nice hotel! As a young couple, we appreciate all the little things and really value the level of hospitality we received from the team members here, and can't thank everyone enough for making our vacation that much better! Nice and New
By Da808beast
Took the fam to Disneyland and had an overall great stay. 4th floor room was new and very clean. Staff was friendly and professional. Location is less than 5 min walk from the main entrance. You will [More] be charged a nightly parking fee whether you valet your vehicle or not. Valets were great - helpful and friendly. If you're a light sleeper, try to get a room away from the freeway as traffic noise can be an issue. The only issue I had was with the weak water pressure of the water conserving shower head but that's just a minor pet peeve. Breakfast from 630-930 is the typical breads, fruits, eggs, sausage, yogurt, juices, coffee and is free. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Disneyland. [Less]
Great Value and Location
By MW12345678
Very clean and new hotel within walking distance of Disneyland. Room was large and clean and the price was much less than the Disneyland resorts. Free breakfast was nice as well, will be back. [Less]
