Solid Hotel near D.C.

There's some really great highs about this hotel. Firstly, it's a fantastic value for its vicinity to Washington D.C. Every hotel in the city is several times more expensive than this, while you can [More] get down there (without traffic) in 20 minutes. The area is pretty great too, with restaurants, shopping and a LA Fitness nearby. There is a fitness center at hotel, which while convenient, is tucked away in the basement and easily missed if you're not actively looking for it. The room was pretty solid featuring a fridge, microwave and internet. Our shower curtain rod was loosely attached to the wall (looks like someone accidentally yanked it), which was annoying since water would get all over the floor. Staff was great, even though they missed our room service card one night, we got it reimbursed. Also asked and got a crib for my kid really quick. Overall it was a good experience and I would go again. [Less]

Worst check in experience

We had a terrible time getting to the hotel. Our apartment was suppose to be ready for us to move in and we have been staying at different hotels until we were ready to move in. We stayed there a [More] couple days before we checked in again on Thursday and they had a new check in fee which was super bizarre because when we checked-in a few days ago there was no fee. I literally sat there and talked to each and every manager and not one tried to accommodate me at all. They were reluctant and did not seem like they cared to even acknowledge my hardship. The worst check in experience ever. Once we got everything settled, the manager didn't even try to give us any reasons why we would want to come back. He still seemed like he didn't care.
