Chicago is a land of rich culture, unique architecture, delicious food, famous winds and more. The city—America’s third largest—is home to more than 2.7 million people, which rises to 10 million when you include residents of the greater Chicago area. It is a great sports town, where the Bears shuffled up a Super Bowl victory, Michael Jordan once ruled the NBA, and the Cubs and White Sox still swing for the fences. With dozens of Chicago hotels to choose from, IHG has the perfect room for your visit to this major Midwestern city. Essential Travel Guide to Chicago
Things to See
One of Chicago’s foremost attractions is 360 Chicago (formerly John Hancock Observatory). Located on the 94th floor of John Hancock Center, it offers 360-degree views from a 17,000-square-foot observation deck, and visibility of up to 50 miles—a range that includes Chicago’s skyline, four nearby states and Lake Michigan. You can also dine and shop, or test your mettle at Tilt, a glass-enclosed platform that extends outward from the building at a 30-degree angle as you lean against it.
Lincoln Zoo, which offers all guests free admission year-round, has hundreds of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians for your family to meet. You can explore the city’s rich and fascinating past at Chicago History Museum, admire the abstract at Museum of Contemporary Art, and take a boating tour of waterside wonders at Navy Pier, which also
features mini-golf and a 150-foot Ferris wheel. You’ll find great live music at Green Mill, amazing urban architecture at Millennium Park, and a whole universe to discover at Adler Planetarium.
Hotels in Chicago
Chicago hotels offer a variety of ways to make your visit as comfortable and convenient to your needs as possible, whether you’re traveling solo for business or seeking a relaxing vacation with loved ones.
Where to Stay
Book a room on Magnificent Mile, a bustling section of Michigan Avenue with upscale shopping and entertainment, if you want to be in the heart of Chicago's action. The scenic and walkable area that includes Gold Coast and Old Town has a thriving nightlife, while Lincoln Park and Wrigleyville have fantastic nearby attractions for fun-seeking families.
How to Get to Chicago
O'Hare International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports and has a variety of ground transportation options. Midway International Airport handles mostly domestic flights and is unlikely to be as crowded as O'Hare, and other choices include Gary/Chicago International Airport and Chicago Rockford International Airport. Several Chicago hotels have shuttle service, however it’s a good idea to investigate public transportation options in the event it is not offered by your hotel.

Clean, affordable, reliable...

Clean, safe place to stay that is easy on the pocket book. Decent breakfast was included. May want to look elsewhere is an internet connection is a priority. The internet felt like I was back to [More] using dial-up. [Less]

Great deal
By JRDsgn
An excellent deal to stay here but the room smelt like old cigarette smoke. The hotel appears to be going through some Renovations or at least the entry-level was phenomenal but the rooms were old [More] and outdated. The toilet was nearly on the floor and you almost fall into it just sitting on it. However I would still highly recommend this place due to the value. [Less]
Pleasant and quiet hotel
By Nick
Clean and comfortable room. Positioned in a quiet area but minutes away from shops, restaurants and highway. Not that bothered me at the end, and I guess is for economy, but was a surprise after the [More] first day nobody checked the room, at least to change the towels. On the morning of Oct 8th, the breakfast was better than what is usual at most IHG hotels, and the man who served the breakfast area, made our day by going extra mile and bringing from kitchen something which wasn't in the buffet. Next day the breakfast was just usual, and when I asked the person serving the breakfast area, for the same thing like a day before, just said NO , without bothering to check. Overall was a very nice stay, and definitely would recommend hotel for persons visiting Chicago and surrounding area. [Less]
A review
By Jana
The suite was good. It was spacious and had all the facilities we needed. The downside was the bed, which was creaky, therefore, uncomfortable. The sink hole and bath tub hole were also a little [More] problematic as they kept clogging. Apart from that, it was a good experience. The staff was very friendly and service was promot and good [Less]
Very quiet and relaxed
By Texanne
We came for a funeral in the Chicago area and found this hotel the perfect place for us to stay. It's in a quiet area, but close to stores and highways. The staff really set the tone. They're [More] friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Our toilet overflowed at one point and the staff were on it immediately. There's no pool or hot tub and I had expected that since the other Staybridge suites I've been to had them. But I so enjoyed the atmosphere, and the presence of a beautiful marsh right outside our bedroom windows. I would come back if ever in this area again. [Less]
