Featured Chicago Hotels

Chicago is a land of rich culture, unique architecture, delicious food, famous winds and more. The city—America’s third largest—is home to more than 2.7 million people, which rises to 10 million when you include residents of the greater Chicago area. It is a great sports town, where the Bears shuffled up a Super Bowl victory, Michael Jordan once ruled the NBA, and the Cubs and White Sox still swing for the fences. With dozens of Chicago hotels to choose from, IHG has the perfect room for your visit to this major Midwestern city. Plan your trip to Chicago with additional tips from the IHG Travel Blog, starting with our
Essential Travel Guide to Chicago.

Things to See

One of Chicago’s foremost attractions is 360 Chicago (formerly John Hancock Observatory). Located on the 94th floor of John Hancock Center, it offers 360-degree views from a 17,000-square-foot observation deck, and visibility of up to 50 miles—a range that includes Chicago’s skyline, four nearby states and Lake Michigan. You can also dine and shop, or test your mettle at Tilt, a glass-enclosed platform that extends outward from the building at a 30-degree angle as you lean against it. Lincoln Zoo, which offers all guests free admission year-round, has hundreds of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians for your family to meet. You can explore the city’s rich and fascinating past at Chicago History Museum, admire the abstract at Museum of Contemporary Art, and take a boating tour of waterside wonders at Navy Pier, which also features mini-golf and a 150-foot Ferris wheel. You’ll find great live music at Green Mill, amazing urban architecture at Millennium Park, and a whole universe to discover at Adler Planetarium.

Hotels in Chicago

Chicago hotels offer a variety of ways to make your visit as comfortable and convenient to your needs as possible, whether you’re traveling solo for business or seeking a relaxing vacation with loved ones.

Where to Stay

Book a room on Magnificent Mile, a bustling section of Michigan Avenue with upscale shopping and entertainment, if you want to be in the heart of Chicago's action. The scenic and walkable area that includes Gold Coast and Old Town has a thriving nightlife, while Lincoln Park and Wrigleyville have fantastic nearby attractions for fun-seeking families.

How to Get to Chicago

O'Hare International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports and has a variety of ground transportation options. Midway International Airport handles mostly domestic flights and is unlikely to be as crowded as O'Hare, and other choices include Gary/Chicago International Airport and Chicago Rockford International Airport. Several Chicago hotels have shuttle service, however it’s a good idea to investigate public transportation options in the event it is not offered by your hotel.

A little old and dated, but nice place
By WearyBusinessTraveler42
This is a very nice Holiday Inn. One can tell it's a little old and dated, but it's still very worth coming here. Awesome pool with a perfect temperature. Seems like a picture we saw when booking [More] showed video games in the pool area, but there are none. Very excellent staff in the bar/restaurant. Both morning and evening! Come for the pool if in the area, and enjoy the food too! [Less]

Great Stay
By AHolton0526
I had a great stay!! Conveniently located near stores and restaurants. Great friendly staff. LOVED the pillows it was so hard getting up in the morning lol. I wished there was continental breakfast [More] included. There was not a great selection of breakfast food to choose from and what was on the menu was a bit pricey. I would definitely recommend to others. [Less]
comfortable
By Raymond
everything was excellent, with exception of the bar comfort. The bar was very cold, me, my partner, and other visitors had to keep our coats on, and zipped up. Many others commented about discomfort [More] before leaving. We asked staff, and mgmt, about closing entry door where strong drift originated. No change was made, we had no other option, but to retreat to our room for heat. [Less]
