Featured Chicago Hotels

Chicago is a land of rich culture, unique architecture, delicious food, famous winds and more. The city—America’s third largest—is home to more than 2.7 million people, which rises to 10 million when you include residents of the greater Chicago area. It is a great sports town, where the Bears shuffled up a Super Bowl victory, Michael Jordan once ruled the NBA, and the Cubs and White Sox still swing for the fences. With dozens of Chicago hotels to choose from, IHG has the perfect room for your visit to this major Midwestern city. Plan your trip to Chicago with additional tips from the IHG Travel Blog, starting with our

Things to See
One of Chicago’s foremost attractions is 360 Chicago (formerly John Hancock Observatory). Located on the 94th floor of John Hancock Center, it offers 360-degree views from a 17,000-square-foot observation deck, and visibility of up to 50 miles—a range that includes Chicago’s skyline, four nearby states and Lake Michigan. You can also dine and shop, or test your mettle at Tilt, a glass-enclosed platform that extends outward from the building at a 30-degree angle as you lean against it.
Lincoln Zoo, which offers all guests free admission year-round, has hundreds of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians for your family to meet. You can explore the city’s rich and fascinating past at Chicago History Museum, admire the abstract at Museum of Contemporary Art, and take a boating tour of waterside wonders at Navy Pier, which also
features mini-golf and a 150-foot Ferris wheel. You’ll find great live music at Green Mill, amazing urban architecture at Millennium Park, and a whole universe to discover at Adler Planetarium.
Hotels in Chicago
Chicago hotels offer a variety of ways to make your visit as comfortable and convenient to your needs as possible, whether you’re traveling solo for business or seeking a relaxing vacation with loved ones.
Where to Stay
Book a room on Magnificent Mile, a bustling section of Michigan Avenue with upscale shopping and entertainment, if you want to be in the heart of Chicago's action. The scenic and walkable area that includes Gold Coast and Old Town has a thriving nightlife, while Lincoln Park and Wrigleyville have fantastic nearby attractions for fun-seeking families.
How to Get to Chicago
O'Hare International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports and has a variety of ground transportation options. Midway International Airport handles mostly domestic flights and is unlikely to be as crowded as O'Hare, and other choices include Gary/Chicago International Airport and Chicago Rockford International Airport. Several Chicago hotels have shuttle service, however it’s a good idea to investigate public transportation options in the event it is not offered by your hotel.

Great value in January
By Msusue
We come to visit our son each January and feel that Hotel Indigo in Chicago is "our place." Welcomed by our name on the colorful welcome board and also by the vibrant colors in our room starts the [More] stay off just perfectly. The location is great with a short walk to just about everything we want to do, from walking on the lakeshore to laughing the night away at Second City. Great stay! [Less]
Excellent

Great room, bright and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good coffee facilities but a lack of tea. [Less]
Great sleeping room, they should give everyone a parking prepaid card
By brad1440
The room was great for sleeping. The comforter was thin enough that a person didn't "overheat" when sleeping. One comment - they should automatically give everyone a prepaid parking pass when [More] checking out. I needed to walk back to the desk to get my parking ticket "approved" so the parking lot "attendant" would let me leave the parking lot. [Less]
Friendly service

Great location to the airport. Nice quiet room. The only issue was upon check out. They did not remind me of the parking voucher until I was already to the other side of the hotel. No biggie, but [More] would've been nice to have a sign up to remind me or have the staff remind me at check out. [Less]
One Night Out on the Town
