Large Rooms for Brooklyn
By k925
The rooms in this hotel are on the larger side for Brooklyn. It was very comfortable but I would agree with those who said it's not in a great neighborhood. I used uber for transportation because [More] parking is very limited at the hotel and I was advised of this prior to my arrival and ordered from for dinner since there is nothing other than BBQ in the immediate area. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and provided me with bottled water upon check in. The elevators are extremely slow and hallways are very hot. The shower curtain rod is improperly installed in room 811 so the shower curtain does not close. Also, they provide shampoo only and no hair conditioner as far as toiletries. My stay was short so overall it was fine for the night. [Less]
great Brooklyn base

I really enjoyed my stay here as it provided a good base for my visits to Manhattan for shopping and museums. The room was very comfortable and allowed me to relax easily after a long day out [More] visiting the sights. [Less]

Phenomonal! Absolutely Beautiful and Clean Clean Clean!
By misszedz
I am very picky when it comes to hotel cleanliness, but this hotel was immaculate. I felt so comfortable and at ease. The beds are fluffy, the robes and slippers are cozy and the rooms are pretty [More] spacious. The furnishings are just beautiful, class New York, but fresh and modern at the same time. The only downsides were the view (or lack thereof) and the noise between rooms (my son was mortified as we could clearly hear the neighbors having some "private time" and on the other side I overheard my clearly British neighbors discussing their dinner plans). There isn't much the hotel can do about it, but you should be aware that you can definitelyhear the rooms on either side. It wasn't terribly annoying for the most part. Other than that we had one front desk receiptionist respond quite rudely when we called downstairs with an inquiry. Oh well, could have been a fluke as all other staff was lovely and gave us a late checkout without any hassle. We also checked in early, at about noon, which was nice. If the room isn't ready they will hold your bags. For New York City, 5 stars from me! [Less]
A great luxury hotel. Brings to ind images of the grand hotel days. I would have loved to have been around when they had a subway platform in the lower levels. [Less]

I was not able to check-in as anticipated. I gave the Hotel 30 days advance notice. but this did not help. I hope next time my request can be granted. [Less]
