Anniversary Weekend Stay
By I need endorphins!
I stayed at this hotel during the weekend of an anniversary party for a family member who lives nearby. I stay at Holiday Inn Express Hotels quite frequently and overall, my stay was good. Dealing [More] with family members can be challenging so I attempted to take advantage of the fitness center and pool at this hotel to generate happy thoughts and endorphins. Unfortunately, the two treadmills in the fitness center were not in the best shape. One seemed to work fine for awhile but after about 2.5 miles, it just abruptly shut down and no effort on my part could get it started again. (I am a middle-aged person who does not run fast so not sure why it stopped working.) I switched to other treadmill and the rotating belt did not move properly--fits and starts and wobbly are words I would use to describe it. I had to abandon my fitness plans. On another day, I stopped by the pool and unfortunately, I found this area dirty, i.e., leftover band-aids, discarded towels. The staff was great, the rooms were clean, the breakfasts were pretty good so these to events were a bit disappointing for my overall stay. [Less]

The hotel itself is nice but I definitely had some issues checking in housekeeping doesn't seem to care if you're waiting on your room or not I was told multiple times that they were rushing the room [More] but still ended up waiting 3 almost 4 hours to get into my room hopefully hotel management has spoken with housekeeping so that a situation like this doesn't happen again [Less]

Complimentary stay

For attending a military event, they chose a pretty nice hotel. I felt everything was nice because my stay was paid for by the military. My review might've been different if I paid for the stay [More] myself. But overall it's a nice hotel, nice rooms, and nice staff. Really nice bathrooms downstairs! [Less]
