Arlington is in Tarrant County, located in the Mid-Cities region of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area. This city is about 20 miles west of downtown Dallas and has nearly 400,000 residents. It houses General Motors' Arlington Assembly Plant and The University of Texas at Arlington, a research institution that offers doctoral degrees. Arlington also has several major sporting venues, including AT&T Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys (NFL) play, and the College Park Center, where the Dallas Wings (WNBA) play. The climate includes mild to cool winters and hot, humid summers.
One of Arlington's top attractions is Six Flags Over Texas, a massive amusement park with rides, entertainment and a water park. Another fun place to splash around and cool off is NRH20, a water park with pools, a water playground and plenty of slides. Cheer on the home team at one of the sporting venues, or explore the natural surroundings at River Legacy Park, which has a network of trails and a beautiful waterfront area.
IHG has plenty of hotel options to choose from, whether you're looking for an all-suite property with space to relax or a romantic place to reconnect with your loved one. IHG hotels are spread throughout Arlington and offer all kinds of appealing amenities, such as free breakfast or indoor swimming pools.
The easiest way to get to Arlington is through the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Some hotelsoffer a shuttle bus system for tourists, but there is no major public transportation system so it's best to rent a car to get around.
